I swear the foster care system is setup to do nothing but further harm and break children down rather than help them....otherwise they wouldn't be moving kids from house to house all the time, and they'd do a better job of getting the kids back to their families, or get them adopted rather than shoving them from home to home without any explanation and no reasoning. Once the kids turn 18 the system just kicks them out as if they don't exist then the country wonders why teens that have been in the foster system are so lost and no place to go. You'd think it what is supposed to be a first world country this wouldn't even exist here, but its worse here than other countries where families take care of their own and do a much better job than they do here with all sorts of systems in place to help kids the system sure has a high failure rate.

We need to demand NECESSARY improvements in the foster care system. Yes I know the goal is to permanently reunite foster care children with their family but to move a foster child to multiple foster homes and at a MOMENTS NOTICE IT'S just bureaucratic failure to seeing the urgency to improve our foster care system. I am so happy to see that you Peter were able to adopt as well as being a foster dad. Seeing all your adopted children happy and so loved by you is heart-warming. Your adopted children are so blessed to have you as you are so blessed to have them permanently in to your life. I pray for in this video vlog that these boys find a permanent situation soon if not with your family then hopefully with another or that their own family situation improves and stabilizes so that they can grow up as happy and loved as your own children. Just found your channel and subscribed. No children myself, only experience is w/rescuing pets, but if I had the resources and stability, I'd be a foster/adoptive parent. We have a significant Ugandan population in our area, and one kind man helped provide in-home care for my father, so I appreciate how giving many of the Ugandan people are. It's heartwarming to see how you've drawn from your own childhood experience to provide a loving and welcoming home for these children. Even if for some it's temporary, they'll carry these positive memories and this strength w/them forever permanently to know that they're deserving and worthwhile people. There are many more things I could say about the joy and nurturing you provide, but I was thrilled to see them at the community pool there at the end! To me, it's as important as almost anything else for these kids to feel comfortable and confident in swimming, to have fun but also learn about water safety. Sadly, I imagine that's one more thing many children in the system, so to speak, might not get, a chance to enjoy summertime. Thank you, Peter, and many blessings to your family.☮️

It is heart wrenching, and I truly believe the whole system around the country needs more changes. Imagine going from one place after another, and being met with dishonest, and abusive foster parents; this is a huge aspect of why I want to do more advocacy!!! I often get teary eyed or cry knowing the significance of assuring innocent children are in safe hands!!! My heart hurts knowing what they often go through.
