Kev’s old Cruiser is the very definition of ‘built for a purpose’. It ain’t pretty, even to those of us who love the old 60s. But put it up against almost any truck on its home tracks out the back of Isa, and you’d be hard-pressed to find something that would out-drive it - especially if it was loaded with the same custom-built toy hauler that Kev lugs along on weekends.
Proving that good old bush ingenuity is alive and well, Kev, Brendan and the boys have come up with some incredible solutions to problems that they’ve faced. Problems like 50°C days where the radiant heat coming off the tarmac can be half that again, where cool EGTs aren’t nice but an essential part of getting home from a weekend away.
