I wish Garn would attend these shows. Last I seen them was at MREA a few years ago. They have had chunk wood combustion/storage figured out for 35+ years while everyone else is trying to reinvent the wheel. They truly have the KISS method.

Thanks for filming this, boilers have come a long way and gasification is awesome, I'm hoping one day to be able to have one of these installed along with water storage, the idea for me is to obviously heat the house, but also the garage area and a separate loop for the driveway so I dont need to shovel anymore. I will also like to say that I would rather have the unit installed inside next to my existing oil burner, rather then outside to keep things with a smaller footprint within itself.

I had my G7000 installed over the summer and it's been going good for the last week 24/7 heating my home. Awesome machine. Awesome. Also 6:47 - They have to go home and talk to the CFO. Smart men. Never make a move without approval from the CFO.

Neat video Chris, I think I know the guy you are talking about that might need the new boiler. Boilers sure are neat and definitely make sense for those who can have them. I don’t want to dive into the red tape BS that Uncle Sam likes to use way to much of. lol. Either way, great video and as always very informative and interesting. Good Night Irene. 👍🏻👍🏻

Hey there you go find someone who is friendly with your karen neighbor at home, find out when he is on vacation and put a wood boiler in your garage that's a plan. If you are someone who has been burning wood at home for a long time switching to a wood boiler is just so so nice. Every room in the house is warm and consistent. It's really easier and less work loading a boiler every 12 hours compared to feeding a woodstove every two hours. In the 15 plus years i have been taking care of our house i have destroyed the living room floors in front of the woodstove and basically destroyed the living room porch with wear and tear.

Wood boiler 101. Thanks for the class Chris. Sounds like you have to shop for a tolerant insurance company to own one of those. Spousal approval required. GNI

Now into complex gasification and pellet wood stoves. Too much for us with our K.I.S.S. Jotuls. And some big $$$$ for those beasts. Each to their own Chris. Thanks to my arborist bud, we're onto a 3 year stash plan. Tired just thinking about it. Good night.

I have seen all kinds of wood stoves wood boilers so on but it seems the newer ones don't last as long as the older ones . Back in the old days they made things to last. I recall a Motel/ Restaurant that also had a indoor pool in Maine that heated everything with a out side wood boiler. Now I have been burning wood most of my life and I saw his set up and did not feel he was thinking this through. The guy had no place to store the wood. The wood boiler was between the building and the parking lot. I asked the guy where does he keep the wood he is going to be using 10 months out of the year. The guy thinks about it for a few minutes and said well I have to load some wood up in my truck and drop it off every day to last that day and night. So I said well what if there is no way you can make it from the wood pile to the wood boiler? He said I will cross that bridge if it ever comes to it. a week later he had a couple cords of wood sitting in the parking lot by the wood boiler.

The insurance companies know haow it works but the govt. doesn't want you to have one because you will be less dependent on them. They do not want self sufficient people, plus you are not buying electricity or oil.

As a G7000 owner, I can tell you unless you have a GOOD SUPPLY of DRY wood, stay with the C-series. The G series resale value has dropped considerably because of the government mandates and rebates they offered. Creosote is a big issue unless you have dry wood. I will say though, the G series is more efficient. My wood consumption with it dropped by about 40% over their older MF5000 series furnace.

Instead of a wiod boiler, Geo thermal makes way more sense to me. If you wsnt to have a wood yard , Great! But sell that wood , to pay for the geo thermal heating and cooling system. Let somebody else feed the wood boiler day in and day out with the wood you provide.

Insurance company does not own my place! Their vote carries no weight. Boilers before obama were better.
