Very grateful for this explanation Mr Powell. Couldn't get any more convincing than this. 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Thank you so much for your video! It is very very helpful and the way you explain it makes it easy to understand the topic :) Would you please share if possible the reference of your pictures? It would be helpful for my master thesis. Thanks!

Thanks for the introductory lecture. I have a question: I'm wondering about convection within the flow across a surface. Is it mdot x enthalpy integrated over the surface or is it mdot x internal enegy (u) only? In mechanics normally we parse out the mdot x P/rho as part of the mechanical energy but it seems like in heat transfer we include that in the convective heat transfer term (mdot times enthalpy=mdotxu+mdotxP/ro).

it seems as though there is no way to adjust for different types of fluids because the h is based on dT but the dT changes with different fluids that have different viscosities and conductivities and diffusivity. I'm very frustrated trying to figure this out. There doesn't seem to be any literature about it that I can find. every equation i can find, the dT is based on h and visa versa but i can't have two independent variables. Also there are no published convective heat transfer coefficients of (for example) a mixture of 70% water and 30% propylene glycol.
