Given the circumstances, Heath was the perfect choice as Ned. 🎥 Americans struggle with anything to do with Australia, including Heath. This is still the most accurate best biographical account of Ned Kelly. This film should be studied in classrooms across the country as what Australian’s think to be the story of the Kelly Gang is too far fetched. Given that time period it wouldn’t have been to hectic in the country towns and everyone would have known the Kelly family enough to help them out, then via word of mouth the whole country supported them. The Kelly gang started out as “innocent” as in the movie. Being religious and defending his mother from beginning to end. It’s a Great Australian movie, with some great Australian actors including Heath. Make sure to watch it if you haven’t seen it. Furthermore, it’s been stated by the director again Heath gave Ned a more masculine portrayal than he anticipated. I believe Heath’s portrayal is very much underrated. It’s even better than his version of Joker and that’s really saying something.

That film is a load of fictitious rubbish from top to bottom. Nothing like the true story. His mother was NOT falsely accused. She was found guilty by a jury of 12 men from her area. She was properly convicted. Heath Ledger has no idea what he is talking about. Ned Kelly was a very serious murdering criminal.

I remember watching it many years ago and I think his portrayal of ned kelly was amazing cause it is very accurate to how the real life events took place all those years with the Kelly gang and everything they did during their time but I feel like that film is the finest work heath has ever done and sure his portrayal as joker was good but it will top what he did as ned kelly and this will always go down to be one of the greatest films that he has ever done and that's is his legacy!

It's always the tv hosts that act like idiots and they ask the most stupid questions and this guy made a complete fool of himself when he was interviewing heath back then

@@lauramaurus8929 That's the thing about American TV show hosts they ask stupid questions and in their week mind they think they've got all figured out whenever they have someone on their show just so they make themselves look good in front of the fans whereas in truth they are making absolute fools out of themselves on camera and everyone knows it hell take jimmy fallon for instance everyone says his a comedian and his funny but honest opinion his never been funny i could tell you a story their were two comic who wrote 100 monologues and one of those comedian's was Anthony jeselnik and him and this other guy were basically the only two guys that funny and this way back before fallon became who he is so jeselnik was writing all kinds of jokes that were hilarious so he would give them to fallon to use on his night shows to see if the audience got laugh of them and they did and it was only just to save him from getting embarrassed but that their was one joke jeselnik wrote which has something to do with Shakespeare's birthday and it's like on this day 15 whatever Shakespeare was born and on this day whatever Shakespeare died and jeselnik was like I don't care what anyone says that guy was a great writer so he tells fallon to bomb that joke and everyone their heads off but the next day their was a group of people having a meeting with fallon and they said to jeselnik you can't have jokes like on the show anymore so he just left and later on he started his own show called the jeselnik offensive which went on for 2 seasons but later got taken down but that didn't stop him from doing his stand up shows like fire in the maternity ward and thoughts and prayers which you can watch on netflix!
