The visual designers for the kind of sci-fi movies I want to see would do well to watch this about a dozen times.

Seems like overkill for a simple process that could be performed using existing beam handling methods. Also the spiral cable linking the gripper head looks extremely vulnerable.

That's true. That part marks no sense, they have cable bypack options just for applications like these. Barring that, they should be in cable chains. You have to use continuous flex rated cabling for end effectors or they'll metal fatigue in no time

I really struggle to see how this is useful honestly. This could be solved so much cheaper and probably even more compact if you just didnt use robotic arms

The wires leading to the electromagnets won't last very long chaffing against the robot like that .
@deltoid77-nick

SoCalFreelance yeah that was bothering me they could have done a better job with that like Zip tying it or having a different kind of cable or sleeving to protect against the robot's motions

The cables leading to the magnet were now packed in a flexible tube and are therefore much better protected and the durability was thus also increased

Doesnt make sens to me. First Axis never moves. So, why is there an 6 axis kinematic necessary ?
@CS-ov8xo
3 жыл бұрын
because its part of the robot? Like buying a car and saying "i only need a driver seat because i always drive allone". It's just the default robot. It comes with min. 6 axis.

because it's cool? Like buying a car and saying "I only go to work and back, I don't need a 570hp V8". It's because you'd want the most serious stuff with the highest capability, doesn't matter if you use all of it.

Orange Intelligenz. It's German for "orange intelligence". KUKA robots are orange and we create smart robotic systems, so that's a little catch phrase. 😉
