Greetings from the winterless north (yeah right) New Zealand. Hey, the truckie dude just wearing shorts, priceless. Kudos to all the guys down in the South keeping the roads open so we can all get out essential supplies at the supermarket.s Cheers guys

Having this pop up in my feed here in the UK left me momentarily confused as temperatures in Canterbury were 13-21ºc yesterday...

We had a brief hail shower in Lower Hutt last night just before dark. I guess that was a throwover from the mainland cold weather. Some of us new recruits did our Basic Training in the snow at Waiouru mid 61 before joining the main Battalion at Burnham, a couple of months later. Thank you Geoff.

correct, but when a truck and cars get stuck going up hill and 10 trucks can't get past them it causes a road jam. Some grit or something stony shovelled under the tyres helps to get them going again

lol, here in the real Alps heavy snow would be 30 cm, not 3 cm.
