Hi there, my name is Joe and I work for a documentary production company called Docsville Studios. We are currently 3 months in to making a film about flooding across the UK. I stumbled across your video and was wondering whether you would allow us permission to potentially include some of it as part of our film. It is worth mentioning that as we are in the early stages of the filmmaking process it is hard to say what will make the final cut. We have a really amazing team working on this documentary, and have ambition to make it something very powerful and not like any other film covering the UK experience of floods. Please let me know if there is any further information that you require. My email address is joe@docsvillestudios.com Many thanks, Joe

We've had loadsa rain down here in Devon again this year but nothing like you poor folks up there. My bro lives in Hebden and the cinema he helps run there has been completely ruined. Everyone in the valley should group together and all refuse to pay your Council Tax until the local useless council does something proper to stop this happening every other year! It's bloody disgraceful!!!

Unfortunately flooding in the Calder Valley is a fact of life. I was born and bred here and remember at least 6 major floods in my lifetime. I don't think blaming the council is the right way to go here at all. It's a very steep valley with lots of small rivers running into the main River Calder and when that much water falls in such a short space of time there's simply nowhere for it to go. Also even if all the people of Hebden Bridge, Mytholmroyd, Todmorden, Sowerby Bridge and Elland all got together - we still couldn't stop it from raining.
