Thank you, Father, for the concise reminder of how to press-on. And thank you, Pastor, for highlighting this Holy Spirit-inspired organized advice…and for bringing in compelling supporting passages. This is a sermon I will revisit from time-to-time.

👏👏👏 Excellent points about drama! I've done that at work and it's been such a powerful move. I trust The Lord for that (in addition to not discussing people and situations) to be witnesses for Him.

John 9:31 says, "We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly person who does his will." That interpretation is not consistent with what John later writes in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." However, it is in line with what is written in James 4:3, "When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures." God will grant what is asked in His name (John 14:13) when it is asked by a godly person who seeks after His will, but He will reject the petition of sinners who makes requests in His name to gratify his sinful desires.

I know this is 2yrs old, but hope things cleared up for you. We're ALL sinners. The difference between souls is people who reject Jesus and those who accept Him as Savior. We all fall, and we who accept Jesus care and love Him. That's why we can repent and it not be in vein. But if we just want to sin & don't care, and just go ahead, sin, then say "Sorry", that's what that verse means. When someone is wrecklessly sinning and not caring, thinking they can live however and still be in God's favor. Mostly wanted to put this if someone came across this and wondered what the answer could be🙏😇👍

37:00 Oh wow. Jacob and Esau... God saying how he hated Esau for his negotiations of everlasting birthright, for a moment of gratifying of flesh, the hunger Esau had of a day in the field. Ok, so Esau handling of his birthright is as my handling of MY sexuality, if unmarried. Hit home.

I lost so much weight because I was afraid of losing blessing because of eating a meal. I didn’t know which meal would cause me to lose blessing. So I was hesitant with them all. Is this verse only talking about sexual immorality?
