my mother's absolute favorite; we listened to her albums non-stop in the 70s... thank you for posting this! i tried to contact her a few years ago to see if she'd ever perform in the U.S. -- i wanted to surprise my mom for her 70th birthday, i think? i got a very curt response, and was sad. alas. my mom passed away three years ago, so this is a really nice thing to stumble upon.

Southbridge, MA - the 70’s We had a music store and a small recording studio - Helen and her band made demo tapes there- one of which helped send Helen on to stardom.

Thank you, Alan, for posting this incredible video! Helen was only 25 yrs old here; no one sounded like her then, or now. We American fans have missed out on so much of her stage and concert work since she took residence in Germany , so each video shared is priceless for all. Her brilliance and beauty as an artist and woman shine through always.

As a youngster I saw her live in concert the first time here in Germany, in 1979. She was so incredible. I became a lifelong fan.

I've been going thru this Eddie and the Cruisers revisit. I really had a thing for the woman who played Eddies girlfriend. Had to look her up and ha, shes a (real) vocalist herself. Based on Davids comment, gonna look for some more of her stage performances. Nice to see that she didn't just dissapear, but had her own career. Cool.
