I have them and love them. Once again. The PRO’s Corner strikes with truth. These are nicely crafted CNC’d lift blocks. Quality component. It’s clear when you sit in the cockpit of your bike your will bars have a gentle rise “Up and Back”. Looks great Chris. As always clean organized work.

Chris....I've modified dozens of kydex holsters over the years. I would recommend a dremel with a cutting wheel for the cover and finish off with a sanding disk for a factory look. The sanding disk from Dremel will finish off any secondary areas for a perfect fit. Also, optical illusions can exist. I would agree with Tim that the Helibar top holes LOOK like they are facing the windshield which would move the bars forward. But seeing the bracket holes one can see that the right top hole is angled more towards the rear than the stock right mounting hole, hence rotating the grips back more on a radius to the rear. Makes sense seeing the bracket installed. Please let us know your riding results.

I installed them on my 18 Tour DCT, but it left me wanting a little different angle for the grips. I installed the Helibar SST multi-adjustment bars and that solved everything for me. These and the Corbin seat make this the best touring motorcycle I have ever ridden. Thanks Chris!

I have the risers on my 21. They also make your bars wider which makes your handles and hands appear in your mirrors. I gonna take them off. The bike I bought was used with the risers.

That's weird. I guess it's just me, but it looks like it moves the bars forward and not rearward.

No, It’s just you, the Helibar risers angles the handlebars (inward) back to the rider 2 inches, it does not angle the handlebars outward towards the windshield like the adjustable Helibars can do. If you have doubts don’t take my word for it just view the Helibar installation instructions or contact Helibars.

@@chriscaliente5033 Not doubting you Chris. I guess the deal is that it angles the handlebar back as opposed to just moving them back.

@@bubblehead7680 Respectfully. Isn’t that just a different way of saying the same thing Tim? The objective of the product is to position the bars back closer to the rider. Mission accomplished. Peace

@@roadglide not really. Moving them back maintains the same grip angle, the other way doesn't.

Good video i just wonder why Honda fit 14mm bolts and washers then after the bars are now held on with 6mm button bolts ? how is the ride position now ?

Chris, any issues with clearance once you moved the front console connection bracket up slightly? The instructions that come with the kit give additional instructions regarding clearance if necessary. Curious what your clearance was, just moving the front mounting bracket up.

It’s only a problem to fault finders, Corbin seat actually recommend Helibar risers as an optional alternative in their fire & ice seat installation instructions since their seat sits the rider back a couple of inches but let me guess, you don’t have a new Corbin seat?

Read the packaging instructions or contact Helibar if you have any doubts about which direction the Helibar risers angles the handlebars then report back your apology.

Installed these 6 months ago. Apparently it caused a cable to be pinched and caused the bike to be completely dead. Since I installed them not covered by warranty. $1200 mistake
@chriscaliente5033

When installing the Helibar risers you must loosen the cable/hose stay clamp on both sides, then rotate the handlebars right and left to verify that you are not pulling against the cables or hoses, leave some slack in the line then tighten the clamps back after turning the clamp holder forward towards the windshield. Follow the provided instructions that comes in the kit but a good installer must always foresee any hidden obstacles before they arise then be prepared to improvise or make necessary adjustments to get the job done successfully. Do not let anyone work on your bike because every installer may not have a good understanding of the way things should work!

@@chriscaliente5033 I adjusted that cable as described. It suddenly died 6 months later last week. At least this is what the dealership is claiming. In any case im having them install the helibar sst horizen bars so I get the perfect fit. Since im only 5 05 tall the reach is just slightly forward so this should fix all that. Anyways lessons learned

@@stevenkraus1679 whether you install risers or full helibars always leave room for slack. The same principle applies when you install lighted accessories on the front wheel like the ring of fire, always allow room to ziplock slack when turning the wheel right to left otherwise you will pull the wires loose, lines attached to the handlebars works the same way.
