I think this is a very good kit. I take a blood thinner so I would gear mine towards that. Much of what you have would work. This is good.

Hi Urban knife guy. That is a nice little first aid kit and is really just a boo boo kit for very minor injuries. You say you have a first aid qualification is it just standard first aid or wilderness first aid? Some things I would like to point out with your kit, and this is from my view as a Paramedic, Wilderness Paramedic and instructor with X3si based in KL. first thing is you don't need a blood type patch on your kit. You are never going to be given blood in the field and if you did from a rescue crew it would be the universal blood type then you'll get cross matched in hospital. This is for even if you are part of an expedition that has a walking blood bank protocol it will always be the universal donor. Secondly DO NOT use commercial super glue for wound in the field it is not made for medical applications and if you are using it to close a wound then you need to make sure it is clean as the glue could seal in bacteria that will infect the wound and then it'll need cleaning in hospital. Just use steristrips and the crepe bandage. When it comes to meds have a card in with them that has basic information about the meds, dosage, contraindications, use by dates etc just in case someone else has to administer them to you. If you want to take your first aid knowledge up a level for the wilderness the look at the courses run by x3si.com and for openness I am an instructor for them. Happy to give any advice if you want to DM me on it

Thanks for your valuable tips and advice! Yes, I am well aware of the blood type patch being nothing more than a morale patch. I troll people that it because I forget my blood type. I have standard first aid but have done wilderness first aid and will be getting OWFA certified in Singapore, through the Red Cross. But good to know that there is a provider in Malaysia. Thanks again.

@@urbanknifeguy great. We do training all over Asia including Singapore, Thailand, Korea, China, and Nepal. We supply higher level than first aid up to emt level with international instructors.

That's great. I did not see the Outdoor Wilderness FA on the site for Malaysia. I may know a few people who would be interested to take it.

Hi could you kindly share where you got the tourniquet from?

In Singapore from Black Tactical. Beware of buying such tourniquets from Shopee, Ali express etc. Best to buy from a reputable source that you can trust it being a certified CAT.

Good but can be better, first you need to review the pouch itself better especially the zippers and stitching, saying "it looks like good quality is quite lackadaisical". Secondly, if you don't have a Tourniquet your Trauma Bag is 99% incomplete because packing the wound may cause too much pain and if you don't know where or what to pack against all the pain the victim is going through will be for nothing and they will bleed out. . Personally, your first bag was better because of its form factor, if I'm going into the jungles I definitely don't want anything that's protruding too much or it will snag against bushes and this pouch protrudes a lot.
