I've been working with industrial gases all my life and over the past 15 years I've seen the price of helium increase exponentially. Glad someone actually thought of recapturing helium instead of letting it escape into outer space

still a great video all these years later - thanks for creating this it's still helpful!

Great video! We had a bit of a panic this week with the current helium shortage and are probably going to be putting our NMR onto the physics department's helium recovery system this year. I was very interested in the technique you used to clean your purifying heads as our University is outsourcing this process. It sounded fairly simple to do in house. Anyhow, thank you for the video!

Really liked the video, informative, love the cutaway magnet, I am recommending it to anyone I know wanting to look in a magnet as well as helium recovery.

Really good. By the way, how to lift the trap out of the liquid nitrogen dewar and put other one in? I guess it is really heavy.

Could this type of recovery system be used to recycle helium in airship operation

I wonder if the EEF in Eastern Russia uses the same technology.

I wish we could set this up, we lose a lot of helium every month.

Oil is renewable? You should be a spokesman for the petroleum industry. Just say helium is so light it goes off to space.
