Same here. Just got to playing HLL, and medic just feels right for me. Normally, I don't do healer, it's a boring role. But I am not good enough yet to be able to get good shots, identify targets in the distance, and know when it's safe to even check for a target to shoot. Medic will slowly give me that, while still being effective in a different way, a non-combative role that helps both the offensive pushes, and defensive holds.

Most people respawn because of these main reasons. *It was an AT guy who needs AT ammo anyway. *You know that even IF the medic revives you. The enemy will kill the both of you again. *If you redeploy now you can at least count on a predetermined respawn time. The op isn't that far. *You are out of smoke and hand grenades so you want to come back with both. *In your experience, the medic will get 20 meters away.... Then run away from you. ^_^ *The medic is 40 meters away. It takes him 20 seconds to get to you. Just before he gets to you he dies. If you would of just respawned you could of already been back in the fight. *You heard he's been using the same needle on everyone. Aside from that I'm pretty sure as a medic you bandage yourself faster than any other role as well. And I think your smoke grenades deploy faster. I could be wrong but I could of swore it was the case. Happy hunting

I started playing HLL not so long ago, and since I'm quite old, I'm lacking the quick reflexes I had 20-30 years ago, I cannot compete with teenagers while shooting. Thanks for watching and liking! One of the best parts of Hell Let Loose is that it’s not required to be good in direct combat in order to be a valuable part of the game, even though it gets frustrating dying a lot. I would also recommend looking at the Engineer role; it’s a good opportunity to help your commander and your team exponentially and it grants a lot of XP!

People giving thanks for bandages or revive is why I love playing medic in any FPS that has it. Even in games like Battlefield where it’s just the characters saying their lines, it’s still immensely satisfying to me. God knows how many times I’ve needed a medic. Medic is my favorite role so far in the game. I also play sometimes as a tank pilot or a sniper/spotter or even support, but I have to say that the medic holds a special place because even if with the other roles you can be very useful to the team, with the Medic is so concrete and immediate, you can directly see the impact of your actions playing in favor of your team and having the reward for it. It's very useful and practical and having the feedback of all the players thanking you to save them, and then watching them actually going back to push the line and winning some spots thanks to you reviving them exactly at the good timing, it's just so rewarding.
@tomaszzarnowski3944

Great guide! I would add one thing tho. I've realised that if you have 3 or more people to revive at a given moment, it can be more useful to use the morphine on them and skip the bandage. They will most likely have a spare bandage and every second you are not reviving someone, the likelihood of them giving up increases.
@NotSenz
2 жыл бұрын
I see what you're saying. I personally try to mitigate the chance of a group of people giving up by saying in chat "I'm going to pick all you guys up, then bandage you in a few seconds". It tends to work pretty well, in my experience. I try to use my bandages as often as I can, so that way I can save other people from using theirs. They only have 2, while I have 20, lol.

Medic is my favorite class in the game. I pretty much always play it unless someone asks me to swap over to something out for a few seconds of help. (Ex: support for some supplies) It feels good being able to get your buddies up, dodging bullets and weaving from cover to cover. It's a nice feeling when people thank you for overdosing them on morphine. In my opinion, while the medical supply box is pretty rare to use, it can be very useful in certain occasions, like when a large group of soldiers are holding a position, you can slap down a box for them to refill bandages whenever they need them, I've had many moments where I needed to do this, and trust me, it made quite the difference. Long live the medics!

Excellent guide, Senz. I really appreciate you going into detail about your experience with the two medic subclasses, as you echoed a lot of the same thoughts I had. I'm new to the game, and have mained the medic class for many of the same reasons you laid out. I was excited to finally unlock the other subclass, but found myself a bit underwhelmed with it for the exact reason you mentioned: the medical supply box. In theory it should be a very useful tool for not just your squad, but any nearby players, especially when concentrating on a single point. But seldom have I seen any of my teammates utilize the medical box when I drop it (I end up using it more than they do). It's a bit unfortunate; I wonder if the devs can find a way to incentivize people to use it more. I'm probably going to stick with the standard issue class for the most part. The other class definitely has its uses, but I think standard issue is more effective in the long run. Thanks, again!

I love playing as medic. Though I feel you overlooked the ability to be a spotter for your squad. Seeing other players go down is a massive help for calling the direction of an attack or a defensive position. I hold back, see where people drop and ping if I see or just give a general call out. When I join a squad I let them know I am their medic and will always try get them back up. However I ask that if they go down in a hot spot or a ridiculously dangerous spot, just respawn. It's safer for everyone!

A medic is the pinnacle of a support role. You do not engage the enemy...your teammates have bigger guns than you do. Keep them in the fight and let them shoot the enemy for you! Simple! Also, a helpful tip for medic is that they reduce the suppression effect of hailing bullets on all nearby allies. This effect stacks with your Squad Leader's similar effect, so if you're pushing a point or getting pushed by MGs it helps to remain close to your allies and vice versa.

I'm sure if you coordinate with other medics, that would be useful, but i'm sure that would be very difficult and running into that situation in the wild is one in a million. And I do get responses back saying, "don't come for me, I'm respawning" which is nice to hear so I'm not having to run out in the open for nothing or waste my smokes. Medic is completely useless, in most situations youre making people not respawn quicker because theyre sitting there hoping you pick them up, eventually you get killed trying to save them and wasted both of your time. There is very rare situations like if youre turtling in a highly fortified base in offensive mode, but thats it.

If it’s useless then why does everyone lay there yelling for a medic?

@@nickbrooks705 because theyre either role playing an injured soldier or theyre noobs. How often do people sit there waiting for a med thats ages away or is busy with someone else? How often are dead people in stupid spots where the enemies already have eyes on them and are going to be shot instantly when theyre up? How often does med die trying to save someone? How many kills does a med usually get? Theyre just useless, fun for roleplay sure, some niche times in defence where they can be good but generally useless any other role other than rifleman is more useful.
