Warren Buffett said that the difference between successful people and highly successful people is that highly successful people is say no to almost everything. Say yes to only what matters. Figure out the "hell ya" and "hell no." Great summary. 👍💫💥

Gosh, this book is for me - and I never knew it existed!! I'm the sort who'll enthusiastically JUMP into anything and everything - and then get burdened with some task I'll hate doing. And then I'll sulk my way through that project, thereby annoying everyone. So - wouldn't it be better to say "no" in the first place? Let me get my hands on the book!!

the core message of doing only what you really want/crave to do and delegate the rest... It is shortsighted towards most of the world. How a waiter, shop assistant, a farmer, a factory worker, a house cleaner, a nurse will delegate the parts of their job that they don't like? It sounds advice addressed to entrepreneurs, CEOs and so on.

I'd love to find a solution to a adjacent problem. This approach has a big oversight. Maintenance. Chores will never get a "hell yeah", they are not scary, not challenging and (since they can be avoided) aren't immediately useful. Was there a video about that? If not, what is your opinion on this? How to categorize and pace maintenance? How to avoid overwhelm and keep your home and mind in order?

@@bepi_exelio I have a clean desk where I work and play games, but kitchen is a mess. I don't spend that much time in kitchen to have any "hell yes" moments for it

@@AssasinZorro Is the kitchen cleaned "hell yes"?
@AssasinZorro
4 жыл бұрын
@@andreaglazzari Not really, it feels like an effort not worth putting in. And the more I avoid it, the less of a possibility for a "hell yes". Maintenance is not sexy, it's not challenging, it's dull and boring. I don't see how it can get a "hell yes" with a single exception - when you're planning to invite your significant other. But even then you could still convince yourself that two plates, one bowl and two glasses are all you need
