We saw in Part 1, our Homeboy chillin' on their perch. No fish-calling, no stress, just observing everything out there. Then, he jumped down to their nest...
Here in Part 2 - We see his motive for leaving the perch = he sees somebirdy coming in. Daddy Dash flies on in and gifts his boy w/a nice chunk of a partial fish. Finn does not take off quickly as he usually does, staying on nest for a few more moments.
Then, in flies Mom! Off goes Dad, Mom respects her son's space, so off she goes as well.
We see Antali dive into that fishy treat w/typical Antali enthusiasm! I never like the wasps coming into the picture, but that's osprey life sometimes. I've just seen both "kids" get stung, so I'm always concerned it may happen again. I never knew yellow jackets eat fish and meat until I started watching live bird cams yrs back. The things we learn are endless!
Periodically we see he felt the need to warn off somebirdy out there. Don't you come anywhere REMOTELY near this nest when Antali has a fish! =D
Cracks me up when he is still vocalizing while diving in for another bite! Just endlessly tickles my funnybone!
Near the end of the clip, we see he too begins to take a more concentrated notice of those pesky wasps on and around his fish. I think it clear why he chose to then take his fish elsewhere to hopefully, enjoy it in peace! Don't blame ya Antali, I would too!
~Thanks for watching!
