I think if any of us imagined; really imagined; what it would be like to go into a tree at 150 miles per hour we would probably never get into the cars at all, none of us. With the safety barriers it’s pretty much like driving the autobahn at night. And the autobahn has NO lighting! I’ve driven he autobahn at 180mph hundreds of times in my life and I really enjoy it, it’s very peaceful! But it’s also fun in the middle of the day when there are lots of cars around you and you find some other people who 2anna go quick and you have a little fun together. Nothing like 4-5 cars driving vmax for 20 miles without braking all while the right side has quite a lot of traffic! Fortunately the Germans are very strict drivers (or where, the new generation is really bad at driving because they unfortunately don’t care about cars anymore. They only care about their dumb Chinese spy app named TikTok..) so it’s usually safe but you have to be 110% concentrated and think for everyone else on the road.

@@electricpaisy6045 I agree, I think you're thinking of the fact that our eyes shake naturally, thus our brains will make a stable image and process it as if our eyes weren't shaking. Same is applicable to racing on bumps. In a normal road car, our eyes can adjust pretty well to the bumps, but in racing, it does take a few races before it is completely gone and normalized as steady. My first few races weren't great in stabilizing visual information, but after that, it is perceived that the rough road isn't there. I remember being a passenger in a NASCAR around Charlette speedway and it was hard to tell where I exactly was on track, but when I decided to drive for myself, after a few laps my eyes were adjusted to it.

I had a lot of issues with my vision initially, but thankfully it's mostly recovered. I'm not sure in your case, but the worst for me is getting ocular migraines. It makes it extremely difficult to function and do the most basic of things. I hope you'll eventually make a full recovery. Neurologist told me it could be anywhere from 3-8 years before I'm "fully" healed. It's been 2 years for me. That, and he’s out driving his headlights… his lights only cover a certain distance. His speed makes it appear to us that they’re not lighting the way very well. It would be interesting to see if his speed was “only” 100mph how much further you could see. It actually shouldn’t matter… the lights only cover a certain distance. In the car, his eyes are better adjusted to the decreased light so he can likely see somewhat better than we can in the video. Our eyes are probably much more sensitive than the camera.
