You are not wrong about him being absolutely world class, and it doesn't get said enough. The range and power alone are just so impressive, but when you add in the pitch specificity, the agility, and that beautiful beautiful tone, it's just so much more than most vocalists have to work with. On top of that, he's incredibly versatile, and as you would have seen if you went on a performance and interview deep-dive, also a lovely, down to earth person with absolute bags of charisma and stage presence to boot. We certainly do love our John! Thanks for another reaction! :)

Welcome to the John Farnham 'rabbit hole'. So much for you to discover. John is the G.O.A.T. I've been a fan since 1969 (when I was 10). Have been to 14 concerts over the years, each one outstanding. Please react to John & his entire band performing 'Love's In Need' a-capella, (a Stevie Wonder song). It is stunning. Also John & Jimmy Barnes (another Aussie legend) sing 'When Something Is Wrong With My Baby'. It is 150% pure soul. Best wishes from Australia 🦘🇭🇲

Yup, agree with you on all things John Farnham. I only 'discovered' him a few months ago, here on KZitem, via reactors. However, 'You're the voice', has been one of my all time favourite songs since the 80's. That was the only song of his that I'd heard until recently. I played it all of the time to my children when they were young, and now my little granddaughter loves it, too. She's been oohing along since she was 14 months old. She's now almost 2 and still hums and ooh's along. John has a HUGE catalogue of songs for you to discover and I'm looking forward to watching with you, on this journey. To me, John is the absolute best. We in the UK, and elsewhere, really missed out on such an amazing talent, for far too long. I'm so glad that we've finally found him.

John is the best male vocalist of all time, in my opinion and can sing anything, in any genre. John did a performance with Anthony warlow(Australian opera singer) doing “Granada “ which was epic. John’s voice goes from 0-100 in an instant, just amazing. John has also done a lot of great duets, with Olivia newton-John, Tom jones, jimmy barnes and many more which were awesome.

You are not wrong. He is world class and definately the GOAT. And I really love this version even more than the MSO performance because it's a little more stripped back performance where his vocals really shine. Mostly as we rarely get to see him playing an instrument as well. But every performance of this song is fantastic live and even through all that flipping between octaves and all those vocal runs he never misses a note. Incredible ❤❤❤ You have to be careful when you start watching farnham clips...you can disapear down a tunnel that you can never escape. It's addictive ❤❤

I just found you, better late as they say. Being an Aussie and fan of John I love finding reviewers who are only just discovering him. Having done some research you know his back story re his career, the shortsighted music industry which prevented him having an international career in the early days, and why he became a bit of an Aussie secret. Given his cancer has probably reduced his voice somewhat, (his son said he's singing around home now 🙂) the fact that the internet has taken over the planet means that at long last his incredible voice is being appreciated globally. I love that you get excited, I love that your knowledge of music is expressed in a way that is easily understood. John's rabbit hole is deep, I hope you continue to explore it.

@@TheSomaticSinger, John didn’t understand why people still loved him. He was shocked by it but it made him fight harder. He wasn’t allowed to sing the music he wanted or wrote until he was 38. He started at 17. Last time I saw him sing he was 69 or 70. With Celine Dion who insists she is his number one fan. John got emotional, he doesn’t expect famous people to know him. Then they both went a bit crazy fan on each other which was funny. She sang his biggest hit and he joined her halfway through. She loves him as much as we do and so does Tom Jones. Many do. It's like Brexit down here, with all that anger about voting yes or no ,in October. But I think John is still an amazing guy and singer.
