The only thing I noticed in contrast to the Japanese hobbyists ponds at this time of the year was that, wouldn't it be even better if you used an air stone to encourage aeration, or added a water current in some way to force a bit of swimming?

Hi yea I have 2 discs both 9 inch in my moving bed on a 80 litre pump also in the pond a meter air bar on a 120 litre that moves loads of water they love swimming in that Thankyou for watching all the best Jiffster 👍🏼👍🏼

Dont have the model mate. But ill share what i do with mine if that helps, i have it set to keep my temp at 26 as soon as it goes below to kick in, it takes alot of time an energy to raise that amount of open top water by 2c is what i found. The ink birds i use for other heaters i have at 0.2c difference to turn on/off. Fish looking fab👌
