Love the content guys...have a 10 month old lab/coon hound mix we started training 5 weeks ago. Has done great with all clicker training in multiple locations for “here”, “sit”, and “kennel”. She really knows the commands well. So today, we tried to introduce the MR1100 collar on vibrate mode just as shown in videos. She freaked out and ran away from me after building momentum in a session with the clicker. I only tried 2 reps and then stopped for fear of scarring her long term. Any suggestions???

Love the pink gun. But I like the muddy girl camo. But with all the new hydrographic out there. Who can choose. Do you know who can take a photo of one of my best hunting buddies and create a film that they can put on my stock? My best girl was a black Lab that was picked up at a garage sale by my wife. She was an older black lab. Gun shy and no hunting skills. Not knowing how old she was I soon found out she was gun shy. The wife and I took a summer and had one of the best times of our lives. She was no longer gun shy and a great retriever. Her nose was one of a kind on pheasants. Just a flusher learning to point came to an end. Holley had hip cancer. My heart was broken. Now I have dedicated a shotgun to to each of my dogs. Just wondering where I a hydrographic print for each one?

Enjoyed this one! Have you tried the DT Systems Dummy Launcher for this type of work or is it too early?

Hi StandingStoneKennels, I am 16 and recently got a curly coated retreiver who is now 11 weeks old and I am wondering how do you get a puppy to drop a dummy when he retrieves it?
@MNSolts

I learned this from a trainer. I don't like playing tug of war with my guy and maybe I just don't want to wait. You can try to exchange it for a treat since he's so young. Right now with my 1.5 year old GSP. If he doesn't drop, I grab firmly skin by his rear legs on either side and lift it up. It causes him to drop it. Kind of like, like grabbing the love handles.

Getting the puppy to release the object is important, but teaching drop is not what we would recommend for a young bird dog/gun dog

YAWA Question: I have heard that darker GSPs shed less than lighter or white GSPs. Have you noticed a difference in your dog's? Is the darker hair just less noticeable?

I 21 week old labrador chocolate lab and how do I train it to rushing and be better
@Jwynn_23
3 жыл бұрын
Don’t rush it you will regret it. If you let them have bad habits now it’s hard to break it later. Training usually takes anywhere from 6 months to a year. So just wait for a season and train er so it turns into a good dog.

For training alone, stand alone singles are great with a launcher attached to an old stock with a couple of radiator clamps. I start behind the dog because I want pup to focus on each mark and ignore the thrower:kzitem.info/news/bejne/prCwqomfj5eml6w

Cool video! You can do that for a bit but need to teach the marks don’t come from you!
