Great Video...Congrats on going to Orlando. I'm from there originally...you will love it! I am planning on moving back sometime within a year hopefully.

Always nice to hear your story! Mastering the tropes of animation would make for an interesting episode if you're looking for ideas. I'm about 4 years into animation as a career, working on mastering 2d layout since that's where I started but I want to do more.

What specifically do you mean by tropes of animation? Technique? Writing? Business schemes?

There are two things I think about when it comes to Filipino animation. I -There is a talented and humble guy I met online on KZitem many years ago. His name is Ishamar Mañgaser. He is still around. II- There is a anime from the late 70s from the Philippines that reminds me of a version of Tranzor-Z. I'm not sure the writing was strong, but the appreciation for the animation sequences are there. Thanks for sharing this!

hi eric, thanks for sharing all the knowhow! i think filipinos, or i guess most artists in general are good at the art, but we're not too savvy with the business side of things. i think we could be accomplishing much more if we had a better understanding of that. i've been watching a lot of videos on animation business (yours especially) and i'm really learning a lot! hope you get your oscar soon. ps do mushrooms count as vegetables? 😉
