I like how the police vehicles have bilingual Poliisi-Polis word labels on the vehicles' bodies and also the warning lightbars. It's the way of recognising both Finnish and Swedish as two official languages of Finland.

yeah which is total bullshit, indepent country should have its own indepent language and not some stupid ass neighbour language.
@kennethmattila7856

@@thephantom7841 Which is not bullshit at all and it's not some stupid ass neighbor language, it is not even the same kind of Swedish that is spoken in Sweden compared to Finland. Get your facts checked. That what really IS bullshit is the fact that there is some kind of independent language in every independent country. The countries are not there because of languages only. Just compare to Canada, Switzerland, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ireland, Malta, Luxembourg, to name a few. Finland may be one of the few that actually makes a good effort of having these language groups mixed in harmony, not as in many other countries, where there is a segregation between the language groups. So please do a favor and except the bilingual reality that actually exist in the coastal areas of Finland.

As an American I find it strange that some of the cars are unmarked but have light bars
@joohnm

@Topi Sillanpää well, we know it's undercover (civil) but, they have a big lightbar instead of lights in the car or a little light on the roof, but these have BIG, BIG lightbars as undercover (civil)

They were securing the event, thats probably why they had the light bar on top. I've never seen an unmarked car with any signs of it being the police and I've lived here for 21 years

Seems there's no much high adrenaline things we can do as Police officers in Finland since the crime and terrorism were so low here, but traffic infractions and wandering ('patrol') around city will do.
