You saved my day. Its my first time doing a curved hem, and it looked kinda intimidating. So I wanted some tips before I mess up my project. Im making canvas riding chaps. Thanks for simplifying it for me. And thanks for the advice. And you're very pretty.

I would love it if you could show me how to blend sizes on your knit patterns. I just tried that for my granddaughter with the school cool dress, and it is a bit of a hot mess. I'm giving it to her anyway because I'm not going to start over. Please make a video for that. These videos are a necessity. ❤

Wow, I don't know how, but you always seem to post videos of exactly what I'm working on. I prefer a double needle, but I think that's only because I haven't figured out my coverstitch machine yet.

So helpful! I'm using a gauze material and trying to decide if I have to fold it up twice so it won't fray. But your description about pulling the skirt when you go around was a great suggestion! And I think will work if I do decide to fold it twice. Thanks so much!

You are so welcome! and yes, if its a woven fabric you will either want to finish the raw edge first or fold over twice! ❤️

I usually do a faux coverstitch because I don’t have a cover stitch machine. So I serge the ends then hem with a double needle. Also stay tape is so helpful!

Question do you know if I can use that on my Dance wear. What I mean is like is it clear, because the girls that I make outfits for they work in the club most of the time, and a lot of times there's black lights.. I just been wanting to try it out but I don't want to do anything to risk messing up anybody's outfit do you know if it shows by any chance?

I have only used a zig zag for hemming. Would using a double needle produce a stretch stitch? You can't do a zig zag with a double needle I don't think. Great video!

Hint, if you’re in doubt of being able to guess at the hem depth, get out your dritz metal seam gage you can insert it in the hem and it doesn’t hurt to iron over the seam gauge

Stretch stitch isn’t necessary. That part of the skirt isn’t stretched anyway. Perfectly fine. You should hand tie the coverstitch threads so they don’t come out on you.
