Jake - thanks for having Hen Mazzig as your guest. His perspective is invaluable, and I'm grateful for his activism. BTW - along with introducing your guests, please don't forget to take a moment to introduce yourself at the beginning of your videos. It's not necessarily evident to those of us only discovering you now. Thanks, friend.

“Among the most disturbing political phenomena of our times is the emergence in the newly created state of Israel of the ‘Freedom Party’ (Tnuat Haherut), a political party closely akin in its organization, methods, political philosophy and social appeal to the Nazi and Fascist parties. It was formed out of the membership and following of the former Irgun Zvai Leumi, a terrorist, right-wing, chauvinist organization in Palestine.” Excerpt from a letter published in the New York Times on December 4, 1948 protesting the visit of a right-wing Israeli politician to the United States. Among those who signed the letter are Hannah Arendt and Albert Einstein.

Hen is rightly against tokenizing jewish voices and orgs but thinks it is a good thing the way people have flocked to Yoseph Haddad? you are just against the racist tokenizing that happens to Jews, not arabs if that is the case.

If Israel can use the latest hi tech to win this conflict the Jewish Chronicle can provide a decent microphone for its editor. Really annoying to listen to.

The editor of the JC just said he is against identity politics. Think about that.

“The most important aspect of our [Israel’s] policy must be our ever-present, manifest desire to institute complete equality for the Arab citizens living in our midst. . . . The attitude we adopt toward the Arab minority will provide the real test of our moral standards as a people.” Einstein in 1955.

Did you just bastardize Nietzsche in your thumbnail and try to pass yourself of as the quotes progenitor?

“If we continue to treat the Arabs (Palestinians) like this, we’re going to have a disaster here.” -Hebrew scholar and Rabbi in Palestine in 1895. Also, are you seriously going to bring up Hannah Arendt and NOT mention how she compared far-right nationalistic Israeli political parties to the Nazis? You’re just cherry-picking facts to suit your narrative.

@@benqurayza7872 Very simple. What has the Arab world brought to the world besides showing off with expensive golden wrapped cars in London streets? I don't want to talk about Jews. You do the research with your Intel chip computer.

As with Jews, saying 'the Left' ignores the differences that exist within it over israel. Under its post Corbyn leadershio, the UK Labour Party, unlike certain other western parties both left and right, has stood firm in its defence of Israel's right to defend itself against Hamas. So do all my leftist associates, who, like myself, would take offence at this blanket condemnation.

I am not so sure the Labour Party is united in the view that Israel has every right to defend itself. Certainly it is better than it was under Corbyn. I wish it was, as the Conservatives, who tend to be more united on this issue, are taking every opportunity to win over Jews.

You are right But I never said, or implied, that it was. However, most of the hard-core Corbynista Jew-baiters have either been expelled or left, while many who left under Corbyn have returned. The German SPD is also firmly pro-Israel. These are the two largest left centre parties in the world, and that is why it is so wrong to lump together all the left as being anti-Israel.
