You strike me lately as being "rejuvenated" and just all in all more full of vigor: it is maybe that you are really getting back into things after illness, and maybe because it is springtime! Anyhow, it is good to observe this over the course of the past weeks -- love the sound of the tones in your new amp.

Jimmy Bruno one funny thing about the amp is showing up to gigs and getting looks or comments from the horn player thinking I brought a practice amp. Never any complaints after they hear it of course and one even went and got one for himself since it takes mics easily too.

Gone with the Wind..Great tune. Very inspiring to to hear you play such great songs. Nobody plays these anymore. It seems like the only tunes I hear people play on gigs and/or jam sessions are tunes that they perceive as being "hip" tunes, such as Monk tunes or Wayne Shorter tunes. I don't get it.

Well, I don't like my Henriksen 110 ER too much. Sounds dull, no high end sparkle and a horrible reverb. I talked to Peter Hendriksen about it and he told me to sell it. I've now put in a Jensen neodym speaker. It's slightly better now. I would be interested to know what settings other Henriksen 110 er owners use. I use mainly everything on 33 %.

You'd think somebody would type the name "Mingus". At one point I had about 15 Johnny Smith albums, including the ones that go for big money. But I was always restless listening to them. Never with Montgomery,, even when the quality of the recordings was sub par. I like Moonlight In Vermont more than the others. Somebody tell me their favorite Johnny Smith album.

I´m not feeling this amp at all. No warmth. Other than being lightweight, why would someone choose this amp instead of, let´s say, a Fender Twin Reverb or Super Reverb?

Especially with the new, lightweight Fender Tone Masters out there.

For me I want to run a pickup, a mic on the instrument, and my vocals into an amp that can handle the sound of electric and acoustic. It nails it for that. There is an extension cab for it as well. I personally don't hear it as not warm, it definitely doesn't have the low mids from tubes but I like the definition .... So that's like guitar > pedalboard > channel one, and then vocal mic & instrument mic > SSL SiX mixer > channel two along with anyone else who wants to join in with the 6" bud and ray cab... and I really like the acoustic sound of archtop guitar so that's what I'm going for. We'll see how it holds up
@Walks-With-Pride
4 жыл бұрын
@@TheVigilantStewards I can understand your point. I am not saying it's a bad amp. It's just that my ears are so accustomed to the Fender Sound when it comes to clean playing that it is almost impossible for me to accept any other substitute. I am the weirdo, my friend, not you.
