@@tomtorres212 only 4 series in the Crosby-Lundqvist era; 2-2 for each team advancing. Seems like more; felt like it was Pittsburgh and Washington every year. Only the two best players in the league for the Rangers to go up against. The Isles are the best historic rivalry for the Rangers. Pens definitely the team I hate most of this recent run. Players on today’s teams hate each other too which is awesome. PS: thanks for gifting the Devils John Marino. Kid is awesome! Now I gotta deal with that annoying fanbase

Had hanks fat head (sticker) on my wall as a kid growing up. Was my favourite player and the reason I started being a rangers fan at the age of 12. Got to see him play in ottawa and happy to say I did. Sad the way his career ended but he had a hell of a run. Hank will always be a core memory for me growing up and was a great role model for me. Guy is absolute class.

It's sad he was forced to retire like that BUT he is not only a king on the blue crease in the NHL he is a king for life surviving this health scare. @@crazyralph6386 Weird that you would bring up New York when it is irrelevant to this debate, but this just further confirms my experiences; I rarely, if ever, hear New Yorkers hating on other states, but everyone seems to have something bad to say about New York. You sound like someone who has never been to New York and has gotten all your knowledge about it from pop culture and/or right-wing news sources. You also sound like you've only seen a handful of Lundqvist and Richter games. I understand why people may feel like Richter was better than Lundqvist given the emotional attachment they have to that 1994 season, but I prefer to look at facts. And the facts are that his stats are much better. That and the fact that even Richter agrees with me that Hank was better I think pretty much settles this debate. And I'm not sure what you mean by "style over substance", but given the fact that New York's tax money constitutes a significant portion of the revenue of many states (especially red ones) I'd say they care just as much about "substance"...
