I love the amount of possibilities in this game. It really makes it feel like the quests advance depending on how you do them, they don’t feel scripted. The game doesn’t wait for you to do what it wants, it really feels realistic.

Yes, that's a key reason why I consider it one of the best games of all time. Very few games go out of their way to offer you *this* much choice in how you act, usually choice is cosmetic or it tends to be about the conclusion. The main story is set in KCD but within that you have a great variety of choices, both obvious and hidden, that you can take.

When doing the Ginger questline, having the knowledge ahead of time and 'skipping' parts of it will see Bernard extremely pissed off at you lol! Your POV is that Henry is 'Omniscient' but their POV is that Henry is an idiot 'that is seemingly constantly having good luck'.

9:03 If you follow Hans during the hare hunt and stay close to him the whole time, they even recorded an extra line for Hans when you ask him how the hunt was. 13:00 If you already own a horse, the game will try to give you pebbles anyway. There is no alternative reward for saving Hans. When you go outside, Bernard will tell you to mount pebbles, but you can just whistle and follow Bernard on your own horse. The quest marker will stay on Pebbles until you arrive in Neuhoff. There the quest continues normal.

Yeah, the early quests are especially good at giving you many hidden options. Things narrow down quite a lot as you get closer to the end of the game but I understand why it might have happened.

Improve agility by equipping agility weapons like hunter swords, bows or short swords. In their stats it'll tell you what governs it. So keep a strength weapon and a light weapon for agility training.

I kicked Hans ass in archery and in combat, the bow you get is great for the early game, I used it all the way until the late mid game until I found a yew bow, also I love the character development of Hans, I went from hating him with every ounce of my being to absolutely loving the guy, he becomes a real bro and true friend.

Why is your henry running around with that shabby straw hat? Trying to avoid the fight is a bit pointless. The two Cumans are delibetately weakened for story purposes. It's almost impossible to lose that fight.

i absolutely love this game but the pacing in it is odd... you have two battle tutorials and if you do the game the way it presents itself to you. you will be doing both with in 40 min ov each other. as much as i love open worlds there is alot ov sequence breaks and dumb luck. i explore and i anciently found the devil's skull before i ever made it to sauso or got the quest about the monastery .... really made it hard to follow the dialog when the game thinks you did 5 other conversations you have no clue about. you can pick locks and have the best armour and weapons in the game in less than 3 hours. and the combat system works out to 'i suck... shit i suck' to '5 knights? *swing SWING swing swing... swing* wow second guy was tough?' but bethseda has yett to make a game that has less buggs than this one currently does so... what do i know. pain ov iconoclastic mentality

If you treat a game like a set of systems to be abused then there's no game that can't be abused. Every game has a way to speedrun it for instance. But you lose so many things by doing that. There is a conflict between the open world nature of the game and the narrative it wants to tell so some things clash but overall it achieved a very good medium IMHO.
@nunyanunya4147

@@SequentialGamer_KCD not talking about speed running talking about my first time playing and old school roleplayer muscle memory where you are rewarded for exploring ... for a game tht tries to be realistic and promoted its self as such... wearing armour requries years ov training and expertise. a padded a mail, a brigidine, and a plate perk you have to unlock would have helped alot. and to the sequance breaking a text pop up and 'huh thats interesting maybe it willbe usefull later' would stop that. point and click games ov the 1990s figured this out 30 years ago. the updating in grafics is not excuse for poor game design

@@nunyanunya4147 you’re a genuine idiot if you think it took years to wear plate armor, weeks maybe at most to be proficient with it, but only hours to get “used” to the feel. You’re mad at this game because its NOT some clunky 90s “use your imagination” and “play the game how you want, but also how we let you” roleplaying game, and guess what, you’re not going to find many games like that anymore because they sell like hot garbage. If you leveled up your lockpicking enough to get into an armorers chest then guess what? You just roleplayed being a thief, which is way better than the best armor being level locked, instead the best armor is locked until the player themself is ready for it, could be 3 hours in before you can swing a sword, could be 30 days in, its all about how youre playing and what your goals and morals are. And the weapons are actually locked in a way that makes sense, needing a certain amount of agility or strength to use well, but even then you can still use it, just not to its full capabilities. The games fine and is a great example of a story-driven roleplaying game, you’re just an insufferable “bring my 90s childhood nostalgia back” dumbass.
