To whoever is reading this: Jesus Christ loves you and created you for a purpose on purpose. He wants to provide you with supernatural peace and freedom. He has forgiveness waiting for you, and rest within His wings. Others may have left you alone by yourself, but God never will. He’s just a whisper away. Call on Him, and He will restore all that hurt and pain. Repent of your sins, and turn to Him! You won’t regret it.

Also, please keep in mind you only retain the length after about a year so don’t stretch it if you plan on combing them out! Locs are a combination of shed hair and some growth which is why a lot of people who have long locs end up with short hair after combing out because it’s back to their original length from the start. There may be some cases where the full length is retained somehow but just be mindful!

But I really don’t live near family and can’t afford the prices I hear people are paying to get their hair done (over $1000). I might comb them out if I find a good stylist near me in a decent price range because I’m happy to pay up to like $600 but more than that and I’m gonna have to just shave my hair off 😂

That's awesome! I love the natural look. A friend of mine was talking to her daughter about the next time she could get her hair braided and said that she would have to wait. I'm a white woman, but looked at her and told get that she could always brush it out and keep it natural, that natural hair is beautiful. Her mother always has her hair done or just gets a buzz cut. She looked horrified, but she appeased us and went with it. A few weeks later I'm looking at this little girl's school pictures. She's got it brushed out into a ponytail with her little pom-pom going on and the biggest grin on her face. She was so happy to just be her. Styling your hair is great and all, but we need to normalize natural hair.
