I have natural hair and that area still fell out. My stylist blended it so I didn't have to cut all my hair off and my trichologists gave me products and a regimen to follow to nurse it back to health. I also reduced stress and increased vitamin and mineral supplements.

@@daisyterry9508 Some customers want the relaxer. They are told the risks in the consultation and they still choose relaxer/perm/bleach. I have sensitive scalp and fragile hair due to genetics(blood disorder) and medication. So I avoid chemicals as much as possible. I also have allergic reactions to raw oils and butters and many store bought and salon professional products. Sometimes I at the salon and they use a different shampoo and I can tell straight away and I have to ask them to re-wash my scalp with something different. @@daisyterry9508 You cannot mix relaxed ends with texturized roots....that's a recipe for more breakage. I'm certain the stylist gave numerous recommendations and the client chose what the client thought was best for them and their lifestyle. My trichologists do not want me to apply heat to my hair or use brushes, However, I do but I do so sparingly. I have a press 4 times a year and get my hair trimmed straight and I brush my hair once every 4-6 weeks. I know this will cause some damage to my hair but I do it so that I can have an easier time styling my hair.

@@nanlenwilliams4913 very true. I also take zinc. The sad part about it is, the supplements are rather inexpensive. You don’t have to have the best of the best. You don’t have to have many but a few basics. The collagen peptide powder and bone broth powder can get expensive but, we invest in a lot of stuff we don’t need. Make the investment and buy it in bulk. It’s cheaper in the long run. It grew my hair beautifully in 3 months. I also look like I got a facelift. Anywho, I believe if she tweaked her diet the hair would grown in strong there. Even if she doesn’t give up the carbs she can add these items to help her crown.

My hair was breaking/thinning in the crown. I tried every home remedy and my primary care general practitioner doctor tried 2 or 3 treatments. After that with no results, I went to see a trichologist. My hair was thinning and sore in the crown due to inflammation from stress, styling, products and vitamin deficiencies. So I stopped braiding my hair in cornrows and box braids with or without extension hair. I stopped using raw oils and butters. I started moisturising my hair daily with steam. I started shampooing and deep continuing weekly. I started taking more vitamins and working on in my stress. My stylist was amazing and he has always blended my crown area on my natural 4c hair but also when he flat irons it. It's easier to hide with my hair curly.

It’s def vitamin deficiency hair loss. My hair did the SAME thing and no matter what kept shedding until I got my iron and vitamin D levels together. Protein treatments slowed the breakage down but the issue will continue for years until it is fixed. I had a great stylist and she would give me great corrective cuts. Also, water treatments in different cities can be hard and affect the hair and skin and make it drier. But I will bet a lot of money that it’s vitamin deficiency. She should ask her PCP to check her blood work specifically for any vitamin deficiencies and iron whenever she gets routine checkups. It’s not something they routinely check for. So you have to ask. Also, a lot of doctors do not make the correlation between hair loss and diet or focus on it. They are thinking about big picture things to keep you alive. So ask and don’t assume they know or check. Personally, My hair has FULLY grown back in my crown but it is a much straighter curl pattern right now. It’s been a yr since the big chop and getting iron infusions and taking 50,000 u Vit D supplements for 8 wks. I haven’t had a lick of shedding or hair loss. Before taking any supplements talk to your doctor!!!!

Hair in the crown was only about 5 inches and the rest was past shoulder length. Dermatologist recommended it stop relaxing so I did. She administered the steroid shots and I have a full, long (past shoulder length) head of natural hair. I mostly do twist outs but get it flat ironed 3 times a year for a good trim.

I had breakage in the crown and my hair was/is natural. Sometimes it's not the chemicals. It's just that it is a sore, stress and sensitive spot for some people in their crown. Some people it's their edges. Some people it's their nape. My Dad (never used a relaxer in his life) has the same stress spot. I remember it always itching him when I was a kid. Now he's in nearly 75, that is the only spot that is thinning. He has all his edges like me. My mom and my sister, their edges drop out at the drop of a hat. Another KZitemr I watch Mona B, had all her edges fall out in patches due to having Covid.

This is what happened to me. The "stylist" started to put the chemicals on my head at the top, like your GORGEOUS client. She stopped and went to the back of the shop. When she returned, she was stirring up the stuff in the bowl...like she had forgotten to add an ingredient. She went on to put the stuff on my head. Mind you, I got to the shop around 10 am. She put me under the dryer and I fell asleep. I did notice the time passing and the shop filling up. By the time she got back to me, the place was packed. She combed my hair out and told me I had "some breakage". I was so tired I didn't say anything, I just payed her and left. No tip, by the way cuz she had me in the shop until 8pm. I got home and saw the top of my hair was GONE. What should you do when that happens? Beat that b.... No! I didn't do that. I had all the rest of my hair cut off and never put another relaxer in my hair again. To this day, my hair breaks off at the top of my head. I pray your client has a healthy head of hair. No matter what happens, I hope she knows she is not her hair! She is beautiful! I still struggle with what happened to me but I know it will get better and I will do my best to get back what was taken from me.

This hits home for me. I had a stylist straighten my hair with products. She told me not to wash it for 3 days. After that time I washed it, and to my horror my long hair started falling out in huge clumps, especially in the front of my head. People thought that I had cancer because the fallout was so extreme. I called my stylist. She refused to refund her $450 charge, but said to come back and she would work with my hair. She lived 45 minutes away. This was no quick trip. I no longer had trust in her ability to salvage the situation because of her accusatory attitude blaming me for the problem (as if that was even a possibility on some reality scale), and the fact that she acted very strangely (drugs?) the day that she ruined my hair. I was beyond devastated! It took over a year and a half to see my hair start to make some real growth, during which time I became very depressed and reclusive because of my appearance. I purchased a lot of expensive products to try to regain my hair. I have seen a few beauticians since that time, but none of them were very concerned about handling my hair more gently than they would a regular client’s hair. I now cut and color my own hair. I won’t brag about it, because it looks pretty pathetic…but, the good side is that I actually have some hair to work with. I wondered if I was being very vain about this, as I know women who have lost all of their hair to cancer. But, my débâcle didn’t need to happen. I still fulfilled my regular duties, with speaking engagements, and was seen by a large portion of the public. Could I have worn a wig? Sure. But physically, I just couldn’t tolerate those. If hair is a person’s ‘crown jewels’, then losing it unnecessarily, becomes a theft of a very precious commodity, which, for some of us, is the one attractive outward feature that we have. It is like wearing a favorite outfit that boosts your confidence. I do believe that had you been my hairstylist, that my road to improvement would have been much different. I love your videos. Keep them coming. Thanks.
