Bad enough that Pipkins and Linsley went out, but Matt Feiler played like cr*p too. Zion Johnson handled Frank Clark, so they switched him to Feiler's side. He started pushing the pile backward soon after.

No, the other way around. It was Chris Jones that racked the left side in the 2nd half after switching out from Zion's side. Zion walled him up the whole first half. Feiler was completely buried by Jones. Frank wasn't much of a factor but Jones affected the offense in the 2nd half.

Love QB Confidential! Thank you! At 14:24 the slot receiver is uncovered before the snap. Wouldn't you want QB Herbert to notice and hit him immediately post snap? It's a free 10+ yards, possibly a touchdown if he breaks a tackle. On this play there were 3 open receivers, but Herbert threw it to the covered receiver. Example of how pressure on a QB can conceal multiple open receivers, if the QB misses his pre-snap read or gives up on hot routes as the unblocked rusher approaches.

I only started watching football last year. I don't know anything about quarterback mechanics or skill. With all of that being said, Justin Herbert has a beautiful pass. I call him the elegant quarterback. For me, his passing seems to effortlessly sail through the air across the field. His passing is graceful. Beautiful, even. Am I making sense? Does anyone else see this? In my opinion, Justin Herbert has the most elegant pass in the NFL. The 49ers are my team but I still appreciate players and other teams. I hope the Chargers can build their team because I feel like Justin Herbert is being wasted on the Chargers. No shade meant towards the Chargers.

Lost a good deal of the playbook when Corey went out. Essentially everything that would need 3+ seconds to develop was a risk because protection was not there. Not to mention it was already condensed from the allen injury. Herbet did his best with what he had. It's also plausible to say that Corey picks up the Blitzer or at least communicates to the line that he's coming on the pick 6. LB came right in between the C and RG. Big ripples in rivers lake when the linsley rock hit the water.

This comment is tired and bad. Defenses play two-high safeties is to take away deep passes. Playing underneath is how you beat those coverages. Let's ask Burrow and Stafford how they feel after two teams beat them by taking the explosive game away.

@@samwroblewski748 look at the average depth of target for Justin Herbert compared to other QBs in the league. It’s 5.7 yards on average this year. That’s at the bottom of the league. And it was the same thing last year. Mahomes who has been facing 2 deep safeties without Tyreek Hill has an 8.7 yard average depth of target this year. So, there’s absolutely no good reason why his numbers have been among the worst the past 2 seasons.

You know, I realized after watching this whole video then going back and watching particular plays - Herbert makes no mistakes in this entire video. He’s as close to perfect as you can expect. After rewatching a few downs where it sounded like Warner was being critical I realized almost every time he was criticizing the route, not Herbert. The one exception was early where I think he’s just wrong about the throw and it’s another route miscommunication.

1. It’s a bad game for Herbert. Happens to the best of QBs. 2. We lost Lindsley and Pipkens who are the crucial on our team. With the Chief’s defense, it was an opportunity and they took it 3. That pic six was on everybody. Herbert should have know. That Everret was gassed and that throw decision making was very questionable. However, the coaching staff should be responsible for taking out Everett especially after those 2 plays. 4. I think the defense did their job well. It wasn’t the cleanest defense, but the Chiefs have a good team and we made crucial stops. Definitely an improvement from last year. 5. I’m worried for Lindsley and Herbert, but we have a long weekend, so hipefully we are fine.

@@king_ltc_ dude it’s the opposite, Warner has always hated on Herbert. Take the play at 9:00 - he says, “bad mechanics”. Herbert is leading Palmer up the sidelines because he’s seeing the DB turned his hips - but Palmer STOPS just as Herbert throws. That’s miscommunication, not bad mechanics, and it’s practice reps because Keenan’s the usual target there. Regardless, a 100 rating isn’t a bad game. You drop back 50+ times, you’ll get some plays that aren’t perfect. Most actually were perfect, or near to it. ps - I know you’re a Charger fan, no stress. We’re just chatting.

The first half he had a clean pocket. the whole second half he lost his starting center and in the middle of the 3rd quarter he lost his right tackle. The whole second half there was no clean pocket for Herbert. Herbert threw for more yards Herbert threw for more touchdowns and Herbert threw less interceptions it just so happens that his interception gets counted and Mahomes didn't. Herbert definitely outplayed Mahomes on Thursday night. But one miscommunication with Herbert and Everett and the coaching staff. led to the Chiefs defense getting their final winning points. The way Mahomes was playing, the cheifs would have lost if the game has left in his hands. Even Mahomes admitted that it wasn't a good night for him. so why all the cheifs fans are trying to lie and say it was a good night for him when even he said it wasn't, is hilarious.
