Man you could tell he took it to heart when they lost the calf. That’s love.

I really like your riggen with the Wade saddle, rawhide bosalito and horsehair get down rope, and the chinks. I had a bay quarter gelding named Chance, that I sold as a long 12 year old. He was the best horse I ever owned.

It seems to me this is the difference between roping a calf out in the field and chasing one down in an arena. You just walk up and throw a rope over it, which causes little trauma. In a rodeo, they chase the thing at full speed and yank it abruptly to the ground. I've seen calves limping as they left the arena, which is something I suspect rarely if ever happens on your ranch.

these traditions were created, invented and perfected by the Mexican vaqueros. All the roping saddles and all the roping techniques were invented in central Mexico.

It's not a "field". It's a pasture. A field is where you raise a crop like corn, wheat, barley, hay, etc. A pasture is where you keep livestock. A meadow would be where you harvest native grass hay AND sometimes keep livestock.....typically after the hay has been harvested.

@ 1:13 "going back to the roots of everything". In other words going back to where it first began. Christianity and the New Testament church (salvation) began in the book of Acts. Nowadays people are told in order to be saved --they must believe and accept Jesus as their personal Savior--BUT in the book of Acts Peter said we must REPENT and BE baptized in Jesus name 9for the remission of sins)THEN receive the Holy Ghost.
