My Dad was/is around, was an ASE master tech (and Detroit Diesel master tech, Allison master tech, etc), and never really spent much time bothering to teach me anything.. He just didn't have the patience for it and as I got older it became clear that we don't work well together anyhow. So... Dad around, not around, and his knowledge base can give you a boost, but it's certainly not the end all be all of what you can accomplish. I didn't really start wrenching, and learning, until I just bought a POS car and dragged it home.... he was also super against me doing that. So, he actively tried to keep me from learning (to an extent).

My front Impeller shaft let loose at the U-Joint and now I have to replace that animal. I unfortunately have to replace the lower O2 sensor on the CAT as it got bent over pretty badly. I also lost two sensors, of some kind that were mounted right side of a bracket that is right below the bell housing the left two wire assemblies are intact, the right side completely gone...somewhere on the interstate. I need help finding out what these are so I can buy the two that are supposed to be clipped into the right side of that bracket nearest the drive shaft. I asked my nearby MB dealer and they were unable to help unless I knew the part name or number. I hope someone on this channel may be able to help me ! I love your channel! Dave

I went to the elite advanced program in 2013-2014 in the first class in Jacksonville. After graduating it was 2 years to get master after that. When I left the dealer last year they took everyone's master status and made all these new courses to have to go to in a certain amount of time. A lot of it is ev training. I just could never find a dealer that was a good fit. Either they paid well and was crap to work for or vise versa. I'm 25 and really want out of this business already. The pay is stagnant and I just feel capped already after only 6 years. It's great money in the beginning but dead end in my opinion. A lot of lifers and not worth kissing ass for 20-30 years to maybe get a foreman position and make another 10k a year and do 12 hour plus days...

I really like your channel! I personally prefer BMW's but after watching pretty much all your videos I might consider a Mercedes in the future! God bless you and your family!

I'm scared/happy that this is my future because he explained my situation RN. I don't wanna go to collage and i don't have a dad around to help and my school (which i already dropped out) had no automotive classes.

Don't quite your day job, no need to add videos everyday. Once a week is enough, you let us anticipate what is coming in next video. Wish you all the best from Macedonia

I’m a stupid teen who can’t retain a single piece of knowledge learned. Can somebody summarize this for me and tell me where I can start in cars too?

Get a job that offers tuition assistance like fedex & just get to work, tinker with cars as much as you can if you can, it will become engrained.

I dont know how you guys do it. Im dipping my toe into modern cars and I'm lost. Bidirectional controls, EEPROMS, and just recently I find out how at least Ford is making rocker arms. They DONT. EVEN. CALL THEM that anymore. Rocker followers, because they float, and put needle bearings in them because...yes, lets make a tiny wear component able to drop right down into the cylinder. Im having a boomer moment I guess, even if Im not one. I think its time to get my modern car off to the dealer and just go back to my carburetors and vacuum logic boards.

I audited your channel and found some problems. Your channel is not SEO'd, there is no description in the video. They help a video stand out from the crowd. This is the problem with your channel. ❤

Great story 👍 I think it will inspire others that are in the beginning of their own life journey 👍 I have worked with old Mercedes for 30 years (and old Volvo's some years before that) but didn't know much about the "modern" model's, so after that I decided to learn more about them I found your great channel, and wow have you both learned me allot.. and inspired me to start working with these modern models 👍 Thanks for a great channel 🏁

Listening to this while doing a transmission and front brake service on my dd. Perfect timing too, because I couldn't find a single thing on KZitem I wanted to listen too.
