Personally, and some will disagree, I don't think it looks that bad. Sure, it's no Mazda 6, but it's much more interesting to look at then the current one and should be better to drive. The power and gas mileage are pretty impressive. I don't think any Camry is supposed to be a car that sets your heart to racing, but it should prove to be a comfortable, reliable car to get you from point A to point B. Thanks Dave for bring us this review. By the way....I'm stoked to see that you're going to be getting some Subarus!

Why are you idiots poking fun at this car. I mean for Pete sakes everybody has their own opinions. Let me tell you whiners something and I am going to spread this all over you tube. I am going to buy this car because I like this design, way better than that 2018 accord and yeah its known for its stellar reliability. I bet when they bring out the 2018 jetta I guess everybody going to be bashing that too. No car out here is perfect style wise because the new accord and the camry are going to be hitting the streets anyway so stop bashing this damn car and get over it.

JEFFREY: Great post and I agree with you about some of these comments on this page. I have a 1998 Camry that I have had for almost 20 years and it has only 136K miles on it. GREAT car but I am not sure if I want to even look at the new Accord since it has the turbos and I am not a big fan of those for various reasons and the styling is disappointing. I did own a 1986 Accord for 11 years and it was another fine car. If I do go with a new Camry, I will probably go with the LE since I do need all the tech devices and the sunroof. I was tempted to go with a V6 but it is only available with the top two trims.

While that center stack is oddly shaped, and the infotainment screen feeling a bit out of place, i will say, the functionality of the system is great. Buttons for basic home menu functions, and onscreen controls to drill down to specifics. It is really nicely done from a usability and ergonomics standpoint. Mazda could learn a thing or two from this layout (as in what it USED to be in the old CX-5 before they ruined it). That said, the actual feature integration for the system itself is a bit basic and lacking (such as no Apple Car Play or Android Auto integration), but for Toyotas typical target market for the Camry (I.E. old people) the straightforward layout and lack of "techy phone stuff" may actually be an appealing benefit to some.

well, this whole accord vs Camry thing is stupid, since the accord isn't even out yet, and the Camry everyone is blowing their loads on is $36k+. personally I would never spend luxury car price on a non luxury vehicle. my opinion on what I have seen so far, base accord vs base camry is. 1. front end = Toyota 2. rear end = TIE 3. side view = Honda 4. interior = Honda overall = Honda. cheers.

LostinOC I didnt say it literally looked like a bus how ever it is no sporty looking at all.
@lostinoc3528
7 жыл бұрын
you did actually say it looked like a bus, but anyways. its a midsize sedan, generally a family car, it isn't a race car or a Ferrari, or a kids car, like a civic. still, with that being said, I and I am sure many will agree it looks sporty enough for what it is, which is a midsize family sedan. comparable in "sportiness" to a Mercedes or audi, etc. the camry on the other hand, is trying really hard to look "sporty" like a race car or a kids car, but the midsize family sedan still shows, which makes it look "cheap" and/or "cheesy" in a way to me. don't get me wrong, I don't hate the new camry, as I do think it is the best one yet. but it isn't spank material by any means, and it isn't worth $35k+ to get the good looking version of it either. you can get a Mercedes or bmw for that price. I would never buy a pair of levi jeans for $200, but I would buy designer jeans for that price. same goes for cars. I wouldn't pay luxury price for a Toyota. either way, enjoying hating on the new accord and enjoy the camry.
@JattAnmoli

LostinOC Camry woods the new Honda. New Honda looks worse than the previous year. You can babble on and on about how much you like the new hondas looks but when you see an Camry parked next to the new Honda, nobody will give a fuck about the Honda because it is born if roundish egg like design, especially the back.

I like this Camry. But the Hyundai Sonata is soooooo much nicer. It's got all the modern tech gadgets such as a CD player, power windows, locks and even Air conditioning on the base model - which is kinda cool (no pun intended). Plus Hyundais are much more reliable than Camrys. I had a 91 Camry with 625,000 miles and the head gasket blew. I've learned my lesson the hard way! A Hyundai will never let you down, and I love the peice of mind you get with the 10 year warranty. I love those Koreans. Just bought a 2017 Sonata I now have 1,500 miles and it's been SUPER RELIABLE. I've never once been to the dealer. I feel that I can go 1 million miles with the Hyundai.

No Android auto is a deal breaker for me . That's why I went for 2017 Hyundai sonata sport. Best sedan on the market for all the value you get @ 23k. 10 years warranty, satellite radio, push to start, proximity keyless entry, sunroof, heated seats, Bluetooth, Map upgrade for life with Android auto, now includes Waze, iheart radio and more... See that's the trend that Toyota refuses to follow. We are living in a connected world and Google is part of my daily routine as far as getting my calendar reminders, my notifications, traffic alerts, estimated time to get to work, best route to avoid traffic jams... every car manufacturer ought to offer this in their cars. It's the smartest thing to do.
