I've lived in New York most of my life. New York is getting as bad as it was in the 70s when we had high inflation and high crime rates. New York was known as the rotten apple back then. But then Giuliani (I have no idea what happened to him he's gone bonkers now) and Mike Bloomberg really cleaned up the city and got control over crime and homelessness. New York had the lowest crime rates for a big city. Then de Blasio came in and ruined everything. Adams hasn't gotten much under control either. And here we are now. Real estate and crime are out of control. I personally wouldn't move here from another city if it's safe and affordable where you are, but for me it's my hometown.

I've been to NYC, on at least 8 occasions between 1984-2012 - I live in Australia. In all of those sojourns there were ONLY 2 occasions whilst walking around that were dodgy. But now, and not only in NYC, but San Fran, and Chicago, too, which I've also been to a few times, have collasped into total distopian mayhem. There are two prime issues that have brought this to fruition: with millions of illegal immigrants at the top of list, and fentynal the other aspect. Both of these arise because of the insane government occupying the White House. However, let me make it perfectly clear that, in the event Trump wins the election in November, I will gurantee that, he doesn't seal the southern border: all he'll do is merely reinstate the 'Remain in Mexico' position. Tragically, the madness of OPEN-BORDERS to interlopers from the Third World, isn't unique to the US, because Britain, and some places in Europe, and also Canada are governed by the same cretins committed to replacement of White folks. To ascertain this agenda requires reading the works of Noel Ignative, and Robin DiAngelo who preach the crazy notion that: "There can only be harmony on the earth when all Caucasian ethnicities and cultures are obliterated from existence." If you doubt this to be correct, then research both those I mention.

I'm 62. NYC rents have always been "too high". The near institutionalized scams are a new development. When I was a teenager the homeless (serious alcoholics) mostly stuck to the Bowery, etc. The 1980s lifted all boats. The homeless that were just struggling with a bad life event could work their way back into society. I have no idea what's true or not, but it feels these days they don't. As there is income inequality at the top, there is homeless inequality at the bottom too. 1980 through 2010 was the golden period for NYC. Glad I lived through it. Very dark days ahead. But I still LOVE NYC, from 200 miles away ;)
