I'm not openly discriminating against my gay and less friends as long as they aren't being open about it. you may wonder where I lived and some of my enemies may use this to track me up. but im pretty sure you will never find them anyway. Can't agree more! There is no LG&B movement anymore. The trans community has completely commandeered the entire movement, placing LG&B men and women firmly at the bottom. What's truly disturbing, is all the behaviors they're now saying shows a child's propensity they're going to be trans, are all the same behaviors that I had when I was a child. I'm now a well adjusted, adult gay man, and wouldn't want it any other way. How many of these young kids who are probably just gay/lesbian, and in some cases straight, hurriedly being pushed into the trans agenda and direction? Maybe worse, being put on puberty blockers or even permanent life changing surgery by some crazy parents. Leave the kids alone! Let them find they're own path. The lesbian, gay and bi movement was making major strides during the late 80s to the early 2000s. Our acceptance in society was always growing. Then the trans hitched their wagon onto our movement, and its been going downhill ever since.

But I have short hair, I hate dresses and makeup, and I’m not very outwardly emotional. Does that make me a man? Hell no. But according to Dylan, if you buy dresses and cry a lot, that’s what makes you a woman. It’s ridiculous. It used to be very clear that they are men "underneath" and that open indisputable fact was okay with them and with everyone else, probably because we could all agree on the inevitable biological reality of things, and as soon as most people got over things like LGB being a thing and women wearing pants and short hair if they wanted, then everybody got to (more or less) equally enjoy the freedom of playing around with presentation and style. Things seem so much more restrictive these days. Instead of continuing on the beautiful path of dissolving gender stereotypes tied to biological realities, gender stereotypes have been reconstituted with a vengeance, the only difference being that these days, presentation is somehow seen as "primary" and everything else is "deduced" from that.

@@salamander6014 Umm, I’m not sure what you mean by “excluding”, but if you mean that I am skeptical about claims and ask sincere questions to understand topics (ace, queer, intersex, etc.) then I suppose. However, I’d like to point out that those three groups you mentioned are entirely different from transgender individuals. One is a sexual attraction (or lack thereof), the other is an ambiguous term again referring to sexual orientation, and the third is a medical condition that affects sexual characteristics/functions, not attraction or an identity. All of them are distinct from each other, ergo are completely different conversations from the transgender topic.

I wish we could find a middle ground quickly... Personally, I dont think anyone should be indoctrinated to accept others beliefs and language, but as we progress as a society as humans, a globalized reality that is bound to get even more expandful as we venture in expansion and technological+scientifical advancement, our social development should find a way to catch up. Our human biology got us this far in the other parts, but humans are not that good at the latter. I, as a trans person, understand the necessity of this video. It saddens me that the conversation couldnt be more ''loving'' towards ''my'' side. But if you push left, the only way to get to the center is for others to push right, I suppose. I hope we dont end up in a situation where trans people wont have any support whatsoever, because although there are a lot f problems and stupid people out there, we are at the end just people. I wish I wasnt trans, I can tell you that much. It hurts. It is not a choice of me, to feel wrong, to feel like the only fix for me would be to ''get born again''. I know what I am. Thats kinda the point, the central reasoning behind the incompleteness of my existence.I, personally, am not an ideology either. I never was. It tires me to be characterized as such, by others (in the community as a whole, not targetting the content of the video when I say that) I hope we can remember that, when the dust settles down.

LOL, people actually use Grindr? (I've never used any "dating app"; I tried out a few dating sites in my 20s, about 20 years ago, and all it did was show that no one is any more interested in me online than in real-life.) In any case, I quit MySpace back in the day. They wanted to know why and I told them (I was in college at the time, so of course, I was chronically depressed and felt like the subhuman scum I was being treated as in college, so I just couldn't stay on there any longer, and my explanation surely sounded more like a therapy session than anything). When Facebook disabled my account a couple years ago, I was content to be off of it once and for all, but my mother practically begged me to come back. I'm still on KZitem for some reason.

Speaking as a trans woman: I do not expect a lesbian woman to be attracted to me. Nor will I EVER call someone transphobic SOLELY for not being into trans people. But lack of attraction to trans people as a gay person is not an excuse to deny a trans person their identity. THAT is when it becomes transphobic. Not being into trans people as a gay person is valid, but using your gayness as an excuse to invalidate trans people isn't.

Well, it's not an acronym (well, not in English; it is in certain other languages). It's an initialism. To be an acronym, it has to be pronounced as a word; for example, RADAR and NASA are acronyms, but CIA and FBI are just initialisms. HTML 4 included the and elements, but a lot of people misused for all initialisms, not just acronyms (though, to be fair, that might have been because Microsoft implemented in Internet Explorer but not ). This caused to be completely removed from HTML 5 and XHTML 2.0; now, you use for all abbreviations and an aural stylesheet to indicate when something is pronounced as a word. Of course, with social media and CMSes, few people actually use HTML directly, and Markdown isn't too concerned with semantic markup.

I have also noticed that a lot of the time that "LGBT" is brought up, there is way more focus on the T than the LGB. For example, I've seen a lot of companies or policies saying "we want to be more inclusive to the LGBT community" and then do something that is only benefitting the TQ+ community. As you said, the LGB is about sexuality, whereas the TQ+ is about identity and expression. The LGB is also rooted in biology, but the TQ+ rejects biology. The LGB also have wildly different needs than the TQ+ (who seem to be demanding a lot more changes and attention than the LGB). If you scroll through the LGBT subreddit, a good 80% of it is TQ+ stuff too. I think LGB voices and needs are being completely overshadowed by the TQ+, so its not out of hatred that the communities should go their different ways, but simply because they no longer fit under the same umbrella.

@@louish748 See this I also have a problem with - why do you need more than one label? The Q used to be a catch all term for anyone who didn't identify with the LGB or T, not for people who are LGBT but also like the label Queer. Someone can identify as a Queer, Gay, Trans, non-binary person these days - how are you supposed to gear things to their needs when they claim so many categories? The point of this video is that the LGB (sexuality) side of the acronym is different to the TQ+ (gender identity side). The idea that someone can be trans (identity) and gay (sexuality), or queer (identity) and bi (sexuality) adds even more reason to separate the acronym, because it proves that they are different things. LGB refers to same sex attraction, so lumping them into a category makes sense, because it all means "someone who experiences same sex attraction". Add on the TQ+, and it no longer means this. Hence, the TQ+ is different to the LGB.

There's a weird, irrational fear of definitions in the community these days. It seems like anyone trying to be concise and consistent in language is immediately called out for being exclusionary or gatekeeping. I'd be very curious to know if this type of thing is going on in the online gay community as well. In the online lesbian community, it's extremely controversial these days to say that a lesbian is a woman exclusively attracted to women. Like using that definition can get you banned from online lesbian spaces. The new definition is "non-men attracted to non-men". You can also get banned for saying that you're not attracted to penises or even just saying that lesbians aren't attracted to men. It's a real mess...

Goes both ways. But in the end they are all grifters. The people being heard are people being lifted by others, people with extreme opinions that will "help" political causes. It's all about the money under the table or the platform to get followers and subs from. Today media have become something where "everyone has a voice" and yet, the voices that actually get heard are very thourougly being hand picked and selected by the people with already existing platforms or just a strong financial back support. And to anyone Identifying oustide the male female or non binary. Like already mentioned. People identifying as "Angels" or i guess they see them selves as Nehpilim??? This is where you should start the therapy, not with people who are trans. But people who are actually identifying as a fictional character from a brainwashing book and tool from thousands of years ago. They need help. And apparently the only help given to them is Jesus and biscuits, sometimes red wine too. I find this world very split and torn from allowing old and clearly dangerous beliefes to be practiced as if they are law, also known as religions. While people who actually suffer are being tormented by the same people who speak of savlvation and sins. Don't you think lying and manipulating media is a sin ? you are messing with your Gods plan. The plan that Transgenders are part of. The reason Transgender was created by your all powerfull being. Maybe the reason is actually to make it easier for God to see who the pretenders of his church are and who are true to christianity. Who will abuse gods words and who will obey. Obeying means shutting up and letting things go their course and not intervening with Gods plan, simply trusting in it and do your best to treat others nicely. And abusing is starting to have opinions on things you don't understand, playing god, telling people that they are sinners (actually part of christianity. Only God can tell if someone is a sinner, and it's close to be considered a sin to actually claim someone else is a sinner on behalf of God, it's seen as playing God, as it is Gods role and only Gods, not yours or anyones) If you are a woman or a man on the inside and trapped in the wrong body. God understands that cause God created that. Only ones not understanding it seems to be the fake worshippers who only worship so they can have their own sins forgiven as they think it's like a pay your bounty/bail kind of system.

As trans myself here is my take firstly Transgender Individuals Can Also Be Gay of course there is a strong sexuality element! what an ignorant dude! Gender identity and sexual orientation are independent facets of a person's identity. Therefore, a transgender woman (a person assigned male at birth but identifies as female) can be attracted to women, making her a lesbian. Similarly, a transgender man (a person assigned female at birth but identifies as male) could be attracted to other men, which would make him gay. The combinations are as diverse as humanity itself. Why "T" is a Crucial Part of LGBTQ+ The inclusion of transgender individuals within the LGBTQ+ community underscores the shared history of struggle and activism. Both groups have faced-and continue to face-discrimination, prejudice, and violence for not conforming to societal norms. Shared Struggle: Historically, transgender and gay communities have fought together for rights, acceptance, and visibility. Events like the Stonewall Uprising, a pivotal moment in the gay rights movement, prominently featured transgender activists. Intersectionality: LGBTQ+ individuals often grapple with overlapping societal challenges based on their race, class, disability, or other aspects of identity. By uniting under the LGBTQ+ banner, there's a collective strength in advocating for broader inclusivity and acceptance. Solidarity: Including the "T" ensures that transgender issues, which might sometimes differ from LGBQ+ concerns, are not marginalized. Solidarity within the community ensures that all voices are heard, understood, and championed. In Conclusion Understanding the nuanced differences between being transgender and being gay, while also appreciating the intersections, is crucial in today's world. Both identities are bound by a shared history of resilience and advocacy. By recognizing the multifaceted nature of human identity and experience, we move closer to a world that celebrates diversity in all its forms. The LGBTQ+ community stands as a testament to the power of unity in diversity. Cheers from Park City Utah!

I'm trans, and I completely appreciate your cut and dry take on these things, and ironically, I definitely agree with your points. Not all gay men will want to be with me because I am trans. That's okay. Not everyone will view me as a guy, or understand why I'm transitioning, and that's okay too. I 100% don't think think people are allowed to be whatever the fuck they want, because being trans IS NOT A GAME. And I certainly don't think children should be exposed to pride, fetish shit, or any kind of vile crap like that, nor should any of these ideologies be forced upon them. It's just weird. It's beyond disgusting at this point with calling women "chest feeders" and "birthing person". TQ+ movement keeps on adding terms to people who doesn't need them, doxxing and witch hunting people that don't wanna date a trans person or harassing someone just for being cis straight which is most likely why people are drawing the line now.
