In this video I discuss why I think the previous generation Yamaha R1 (2009-2014) still holds its value so well compared to the newer generation R1 (including the redesign). I explain why people are still paying upwards of $8k for this bike still. If you are primarily a street motorcycle rider most of these factors are applicable to you. The new Yamaha R1 added traction control (TCS), wheelie control, ABS, etc.
Currently, Kelly Blue Book value of a 2014 Yamaha R1 (mine) is $9,460 and the KBB on a 2015 Yamaha R1 is $10,380.
