Random question and I don’t mean to high jack your comment but do any of y’all have a TR4? I have a few protechs and the ones with a manual safety are able to lock with the blade open, but my tr4 doesn’t it feels like the lock wants to engage and it just gives me an extra piece of mind locking the blade open on the other ones

The new knife releases were great, but props to George for keeping a natural conversational flow in this video. Dave coming in the clutch as always. Seriously, amazing company, with awesome employees, and classy! When you buy a Protech you are supporting a company that does amazing American-made products with class and style. As a veteran, I love that Protech always supports BHQs fundraiser for Continue mission. I now own four Protech knives. Well done Dave and great presentation George.

On a serious note, I don't think people grasp just how hard it is to keep up with demand for these guys. They don't have a massive corporate business that they can outsource their labour too and make sure all of their models are flooded everywhere. They also make automatics which are [sadly] legally tricky to transport. Would I love 16 different Malibu's to all be available in 56 colours at all times? Sure. That isn't going to happen though. @BladeHQ

Assuming we're talking about the $12,000 custom, the gold in the scrollwork is 24k. It does not blacken. The "black" we are talking about is the Black Lip Mother of Pearl. Mother of Pearl is found in the shell of the same mollusk that creates pearls. The lip is the side of it when you cut it out. The lip is usually blue, occasionally gold, and very rarely black. Black is the most valuable! -George
