When it comes to making surfing easy and fun, it's hard to go past the plethora of twin fin surfboards available these days. Without the centre fin, surfing can be easy, effortless and yet remain dynamic. But what if the tail is wrong?
Utilising a clever tail shape in a surfboard can make or break a shape - by adding in a swallow the board almost gains two extra teeth to grip into the wave face with but still retains a nice bit of looseness through the missing foam. A rounded pin will grab more surface area as it moves through the wave, creating a strong sense of stability and hold through turns - there are numerous ways to skin the cat - here’s what some of our experts think amongst episode 2 of The Greatest Twin Fin.
