Marten and Heartland are definitely the two most driver friendly companies. Both were awesome.

How many loads per week were you doing at Marten? I've heard some drivers say there is a lot of short runs?
@BorrowedTimeTrucking

I’ll be honest with you I started at Marten with a lot of shorts runs as a team driver. I was doing 3500 to 4500 so I was making my money in DOWNTIME pay But now I make 5500 to 6k miles a week.

@@BorrowedTimeTrucking nice! its like 80k/yr or $30/hr guarantee assume if you work 10hr a day and 5 days a week. its going to suck if you try to go local because the pay is bottom tier like $25/hr. Biggest reason driver wants to stay OTR because its pay better than regional than local.

You can “refuse” any load given to you. Now with that comes; depending on the situation, is going to play a role in your minimum guaranteed pay.

We have some other videos designated specifically to their pay. Different accounts have different payouts. Marten gives their drivers MGP, minimum guaranteed pay, if you’re working your set days, making your loads on time (weather permitting) & not refusing your loads… you should be making your MGP every single week. Plus they pay out other little things. Check out martens website, they have a section showing roughly how much you should expect weekly.
