Class video this buddy, great to see Hereford showcased so well. I’m the Hereford FC Pitchside Videographer and can be seen in a Pink High Vis in the first half on the opposite side to you, near the Corner flag and on the pitch at Full Time. My daughter was also the Mascot for the match so this game will hold a lot of memories for me. In regards to the Brackley Second Goal, talking to their Photographer, he said the ball was a good 1.5 to 2 yards out of play before they scored. Any how, that’s football. Cracking video and I look forward to seeing more from your trips 👍

Was a great game to visit as a neutral - was slightly worried after the first 5 minutes of head tennis but was very entertained !

Good alround vid, well done. I've been a Whites follower since my 70s childhood, and still am despite living in London since the mid 80s. Over the many hundreds of our games I've attended I've always wondered why fans barrack officials, as it would never win favour. However recent years of watching this level of football has shown that officiating standards are often poor, and yes who'd be a ref... But even worse, and very sadly, in this National North league it seems the norm for teams to crowd and bully the ref when decisions go against them, and this shows why they do it.... thankfully the Furd don't stoop this low. I wasn't at this game but listened to the online comm, everyone in the ground thought it was a handball for the "pen", and before that most had seen the ball was well out of play before being crossed for Brackley's equaliser, yet ??.... and theres a lot of doubt about the disallowed "goal" before that. It was also a very strong wind blowing down the pitch right to left, and the Whites always play better when playing to feet not longball hoofing, yet for the first 1/4 they insisted on highballs that were blown all over by the wind - so it was nice to hear your comments in this respect when they finally saw sense and played it along the ground, and got their just rewards. But hey, at least you had some entertainment for your money, seeing more goals than we usually get in a month or two, haha. PS, I normally stand on the home end terrace, have only been under the Len Weston (as in cider) once, when I took my now-wife for her first game in 1990 and she being short I knew we'd have to stand right at the front for her to see, so we were almost on the halfway line of the LW. I deliberately picked a "big" game, v our "good" neighbours Cardiff and their travelling hordes..., the gate was about 6,000 with half of them being from Cardiff, this vid taken from the main stand shows them in the BF terrace and on the upper seats of the Len Weston. Lots of unpleasant history between our clubs told me to expect trouble. Sure enuff, after we equalised large blue things started raining down onto the pitch from almost above us, unlike me my wife was confused, these were the plastic seats those friendly Cardiff fans had ripped off their bases... I had warned her it would be a heated atmosphere lol. Whatever happened to them btw. Many thanks again, good luck in your travels ! yourherefordshire.co.uk/all/sports-news/flashback-hereford-united-1-1-cardiff-city-20th-october-1990/

Thanks for your kind comments, as you say it shows why players and fans feel they can do it if the odd decision is overturned ! It was a great match and I’m glad to see Hereford remaining firmly in the league where they can hopefully consolidate and build next year ! Thanks for the link very interesting - my fiancée refuses to go to any future matches so I’ll be travelling solo !

@@TouristInTransit thanks for your good wishes. I'm sorry to hear abt your fiancee - hope that decision doesn't stem from anything worse than cold and boredom etc. My wife of now 32 years likes football, sort-of.. (ie on tv in warm house), but has only been to maybe 3? games since that Cardiff one, all "safe" games including our playoff final at Leicester in 2006, and our Vase final at Wembley in 2016 (only an hour by tube from our home) . In retrospect it was a shade risky taking her to the Cardiff game as I've attended many games against south Wales teams, home and away, and in those 80s days there was always "trouble", sadly. And I certainly didnt envisgae there beeing such a big Cardiff following at our place.. ah well we survived lol. For the vast majority of the hundreds of games I've been to over the intervening decades, usually from my London home, I've chosen and prefer to travel solo, by car or tube. Despite the initial real sadness of our first demotion from the league, I enjoyed our first decade in the Conference, proper football and proper fans, good times. Getting a tad bored with the grim Northern section now tho. Good luck in your travels !
