This is very impressive, uplifting and hopeful in these strange times Peter. Johnson’s move away from libertarianism is v concerning, his ‘green’ shift is particularly worrying. We are being played, whilst pre-occupied with covid. Look at London. The mayor has, for some reason, been allowed to run unelected for six months beyond his term. Yet he is exploiting his position to introduce draconian, activist laws throughout the Capital, disrupting the lives and impoverishing millions of Londoners. He seems to have literally gone power mad.

As an average 'pleb', a scientist pleb but a pleb nevertheless, I have no connections to politicians, I am not on TV, nor do I write columns in Newspapers and yet I am part of a silent majority. People like me do their best to inform others but we have no actual power due to life circumstances like disability or mental problems for example. The common people who do value freedom have no outlet and no leader at the moment. There are thousands of professionals who do their best, but they are also not prominent enough and get censored all the way. They are no leaders either, they are truth finders. We are strewn across Britain and literally communicate secretly as if our views are illegal [which they kind of are at the moment]. What we need is a focus, a pointy tip, someone who stands up for us who has the connections and the background. I feel hopeless, scared [not of any virus, but of the way things are heading], sick to the bone, depressed, awful and worst of all I suffer from the sheer injustice of not letting our points be made so that we as people can make an informed decision instead of having to rely on one sided propaganda that is allowed to exaggerate and fear monger without repercussions [see newspaper headlines]. I frankly can't take any more fear mongering and pointing out how bad it all is, unless a solution is being offered! We seem to be stuck at the 'circle jerk' stage where we are all agreeing and citing quotes about freedom and sending science facts to each other until they are banned. I need hope, I need to know that we as a group have a chance to be heard. We need a representative with no fear and excellent communication skills and who is part of the 'accepted group'. I need to hear solutions, plans and ideas to rectify this utter idiocy and I cannot read or watch any more fact stating without it! I love this country and it's former values and the people, before they turned into cattle. I say this as a Gen-x German whose parents were young during WW2 and who had friends in E-Germany [in Britain for over 30 yrs]. I've seen and heard it all and I am petrified of tyranny, always have been. I learned at school what to look out for, and it's all here. Only people accept it [again] because it's wearing different clothes and speaking different words. But it is the same ilk. What are we going to do?

Don't be divided and ruled - the enemy is not who you are being told it is.

@@Rusty571000 No - that's bullshit. There are plenty of people of different races (skin colours or whatever) who were born and brought up in this country who are deeply proud of Britain. FANTASTIC! I grew up in a country where the bobbies were polite, councils served you, fines were low and few, traffic was sparse, parking was easy and cheap, and barriers were barely existent - you could roam virtually anywhere, including in disused houses, and do things at your own risk. Children from all sorts of family background played freely and unsupervised for hours on end in town or countryside. The morals and values of Christianity were taught everywhere (not coercively) and informed the behaviour of the majority. There were no speed trap cameras, CCTV, busybody neighbours or jobsworths spying on you or seeking to cause trouble with 'authorities', and no sneak-on-your-neighbour telephone lines. Discretion was used in the implementing most regulations. People were generally helpful towards each other in all situations and NEVER attempted to silence you for an opinion. Politics was a boring thing in the distance and no-one cared how you voted - it was considered rude to enquire. Differences of opinion weren't a point of hatred or intolerance, and legislation of all kinds was minimal and unrelated to 'Europe'. That was England in the 1960s... Of course we cannot turn back the clock, but we can restore the respect for individuality and freedom of choice and expression that is being curtailed by the 'woke folk' agenda. Unfortunately, we've legislated against, lost or destroyed so much that many people today don't even know what liberty is.

You DON'T want a revolution. The populace ALWAYS ends up worse, far far worse, after a revolution. because it's a pipe dream, and a strong hand always takes the reins of power. Then cracks down.

Immediately sent this to my MP who is currently complicit in the Governments Tyranny. He keeps voting for more restrictions more lockdowns. He apologises while destroying local business and imprisoning people in their homes. I would hope everyone who watches this does the same. When this is over they must not honestly say we didn't know how strongly you felt about this.

Your local NP is part of the tyranny all in it together. Mine voted with the fat tyrant and is complicit in this disgusting betrayal of the people. We really must ruse up and say no. Bin the muzzles see your family, etc. Do not let these evil bastards win.

Well done; well explained. Thank you. More please. In Australia, we need to hear this over and over again. Our ABC actually broadcasted the last days of the Proms. Wow, someone overruled the Woke culture in our media.

The problem is, especially here in Australia people just don't care.. they wouldn't watch this and start thinking. It's just a case of "you can't beat em, why try" attitude.. For me, personal liberty is of upmost importance. More than anything else.. Without it we can't do anything

What was that 'higher power' that kept even kings in check? Even the law was born of a certain mindset which came from the presence of a belief in this higher power. His name is God and he came up with the first rule book, which just happens to be the standard by which people of any geographical origin can live peacefully if a majority of it's members adhere.
