In 1876 traffic commenced on the railway between Uppsala and Länna, and in 1977 all traffic had seized. But since 1974, the Stockholm-Roslagen Heritage Railway Association has run heritage trains during the summers along the now disused narrow-gauge (891mm) railway between Uppsala and Faringe - the so called "Lennakatten" (The Lenna Cat). In this video we'll cover both a bit about the history as well as admire the beautiful steam and other trains that the heritage association have renovated.
Today the heritage association manage both the 33km of tracks as well as an extensive arsenal of locomotives and over 100 carriages. I travelled on the Lennakatten a beautiful summer day in the end of August 2019
