The footage of the interior brings back so many childhood memories...

Excellent. Showing the Tait negotiating the route was very good. The interiors, what can you say. A moving piece of art. 😊

Magnificent. You have a great 'eye' for choosing viewpoints. Congratulations. Memories, Princes Bridge. The station cafeteria, where, in 1958,a pauper uni student could get a 3-course meal for 3/6, 35 cents in today's money. Ah, well.

My memory as a kid was the Tait was all-red livery. When did they have the grey window frames? Did that change to all-red later?

This particular Tait set is wearing the livery worn by all suburban trains from 1936 to 1956. They then phased out that livery for the all over red with moonestone grey windows.

Can you tell me why window frames were painted grey/white? I don't remember seeing that as a kid.

That was the standard livery between the 30s and the 50s.
