My brothers best friends carried him up a mountain when he had pancreatic cancer, his favorite thing of all time was boar hunting and they wanted to take him on his last hunt before he passed away, they carried him like a back pack for his last hunting trip, it was amazing and brought me to tears

@elenalizabeth

🤦♀️ his “call of duty” as an army (or navy/airforce/armed forces) guy was to get help for an injured person. Her saying “he went beyond the call of duty” was because instead of just waiting with her in pain (for potentially many hours) for a rescue team to come get her, he instead carried her all the way down so she could get help sooner.
