Randy: you are a blessing to your neighbors for having the courage and wherewithal to ACT. Putting out those spot fires saved people’s homes and lives! The respect and caring you showed for the poor victim is a beautiful example of one’s true humanity for another. I hope you know that your deeds are a shining example of love for one’s fellow human in need!

Christians uncle here. For some additional background, their FEMA claim got denied today and they have to refile. Many of the residents there are having the same problem. The whole thing is a mess and it seems there aren’t many disaster relief programs offering financial aid available just yet, outside of bidens 700.00. As many of you know, everything is shut down with no water or power, and no way in or out. The town is entirely gone, and tourism has stopped in Maui for the most part. It’ll likely be a while before things stabilize. My sister, Christian's mom, made a page under Lahaina Fire Relief for Local Hero to help get them support for the next few months, as it looks like they have a long road ahead.

There is so much more to this story and how Jesus surrounded him and protected him when he prayed. None of the embers touched the roof of the 2 apartment units as well as his body. However, all the other units burned to the ground. At one point during the night, while fighting the fire down below he heard a voice tell him to 'go back to the apartment' which was on the second level- when he did there was a young man looting their place! He then ran away without taking any of their belongings. Sending lots of love and prayers of hope and wisdom to Maui's people.

The administartion of Lahaina did everything it could to maximize the harm caused by natural circumstances. The electricity was left on, the water was shut off, no siren warning, the police blocked escape routes. Man. Maybe the community is mad. I would be madder. There must be accountability for what the community suffered at the hands of these handful of incompetent jokers, who are probably very well paid, and just let everybody down and facilitated a whole lot of death and destruction. This is the lasy community on earth who deserved such treatment.
@quickgadget3964

SUNAMI SIRENS ARE NEVER USED FOR FIRE AND MIGHT HAVE PREVENTED THE LIVES SAVED IN THE WATER, THE FIRE WAS SO HOT IT MELTED THE WATER PIPES. THE ELECTRICITY WAS LEFT ON TO RUN THE WATER PUMPS, PLUS OTHER CRITICAL EQUIPMENT. LESSONS AND TRAINING WILL BE LEARNED FROM THIS FOR SURE. WE ARE TRYING TO WALK FORWARD IN ALOHA. NO ONE DID THIS INTENTIONALLY! SHOW RESPECT TO OTHER HUMANS.
@ruthbanon6049
11 ай бұрын
@@quickgadget3964 THE EXCUSE THAT THE SIRENS WOULD HAVE CAUSED PEOPLE TO RUN TO THE BURNING HILLS IS SO RIDICULOUS ITS NOT WORTH REPEATING. PROTOCALS HAVE SHOWED THAT THE SIRENS ARE AN ALL EMERGENCY WARNING SO THAT CLAIM IS EITHER A LIE, OR JUST UNPROFESSIONAL IGNORANCE. THE ELECTRIC COMPANY WAS WARNED THAT THE WINDS MIGHT DOWN THE ELECTRIC POLES AND CAUSE A FIRE. THE WATER COMPANY WAS WITHHOLDING WATER FROM RESIDENTS FOR SOME STUPID REASON EVEN BEFORE THE DISASTER. IF THE CLUELESS ADMINISTRATION WOULD HAVE SHOWN MORE RESPECT FOR THE PEOPLE INSTEAD OF MOUTHING ALOHA AND THINK THAT IT MAKES EVERYTHING BETTER, WELL I JUST HOPE THE COMMUNITY WILL DEMAND JUSTICE AND ACCOUNTABILITY. AND RESPECT WHERE RESPECT IS DUE. NOT WHERE ITS NOT.

Or you go panning the ashes for your Rolex. This man is worth more than a hundred billionaires. I don’t like quantifying any value on life; but this has to be said. Shouted From the rooftops. And he deserves a lovely easy life from this day forward. Give him everything he wants. Remember him any time you look at someone condescendingly. Any time you believe you have the right to decide someone’s fate, to craft their story, to staple Angel wings on yourself and climb on a plinth. Because it’s all nonsense.

Kaleo Manuel, former Obama administration, is the head of Water Management on Maui. He has since been reassigned. He's made the statement that he views water as sacred and that it should be dispersed 'equitably'. (Remember Florida hurricane disaster and VP Harris saying FEMA aid would be disperesed based on equity?) He said that water is so sacred that it should not be 'used'. This is who did not allow water to be released for firefighters, despite exigent circumstances. Did they say the fire burst pipes in order to obscure this fact - just as not sounding alarms was a conscious decision? Kanaka must face cultural traitors and address this betrayal, or risk the absolute permanent erasure of the Hawaiian culture. The betrayal from within required to topple the kingdom has never been properly addressed, or we would not have Hawaiian faces make decisions that resulted in the deaths of not only countles Kanaka, kamaiina and guests, but of the future of the Hawaiian culture - our children. Kanaka must address enemies of the culture within or perish. This man represents the Hawaiian soul.

@Tt1l1

There are 331.9 million Americans. About 1.5 are Hawaiian. Don't group 331.4 million Americans together, that's ridiculous. Tourists are assholes everywhere from all around the world. And yes, even though you don't want to admit it, that includes Hawaiians. Also, it's kind of funny because Hawaiian natives are notoriously known as some of the biggest assholes to visitors of Hawaii in the world. Maybe you guys need to spend some time in the Midwest to understand that it's ok to be nice to other people.

Stop it, don't start your divisive BS. Good, selfless people will do good things for others. ***Instead (you & others) should ask yourselves ...did Maui firefighters do enough? Why has the Maui Fire Department not take any responsibility, accountability for failing to properly extinguished the Lahaina Fire @ 1pm (as they officially claimed they put out?) .... Did MFD went above and beyond their duty? (you know, bcz it's their DUTY + they have expert training, equipment & clothing that's fire retardant & high temp resistant) - How many Maui-Firefighters perished bcz they tried saving as many lives as possible? How many rescues did #MauiFireFighters performed (by using their engines/vehicles) after they ran out of water? Were (civilians) or Maui Firefighters the unsung heroes @ Lahaina on that day, even after running out of water? - like this brave person // you & your people should philosophize about that. During 9/11 @ WTC, Firefighters (knowingly) went into danger & their eminent deaths trying to save as much people as possible, even after the 1st tower collapse - can you imagine how many people (could have been saved) if firefighters, police, Emergency & Gov officials had that type of drive & dedication inside of them ? *** Ask yourself this question #Maui #Lahaina #MFD #Hawaii #MPD #MauiFires #MauiWildfire

There was no alert of fire? Sure there was. People saw smoke. People smelled smoke. Eventually people saw flame. You dont wait for an evacuation notice to flee!!!! You get out at first sign of fire. Where I live if a fire is within 20mi of us we start packing the car. 10-15mi of us we are out. If the fires happen on top of us and there is very little to no warning (except what we smell and see) we run. We pack the kids and dog, leaving the smaller animals (hoping for the best for them) and leave. We dont wait for someone to tell us to leave. We leave! Of course this happened in a hurricane. The winds were ripping homes apart. I get how dangerous it was just to walk out of your home in such conditions but winds are not for sure deadly. A fire is going to kill, winds, maybe or maybe not. You run.
