While I don't have it, I do love those minis haha. Such a blast from the past and lovingly updated looks. They look AWESOME every time I see their releases.

Nice paint job! I’d love to know how long it takes you to fully paint the mini. Your video edits are so slick, that it seems like you can paint the whole thing in the real time of the video. Are you using a wet palette? Do you pick all your colors before you start? Do you blast out the whole thing at once, or are you doing this in sessions? And, do you do both characters at the same time, or did you do the female sculpt first, figure everything out and then record the male sculpt? Thought we were done… no way brah! 😂 Would love to see your take on terrain! Can’t wait to see you do the wolves. Already looking forward to your next installment!

Wow! Haha that's a lot. I'll see what I can do: When I'm filming it can take about 2-3 hours depending. When I'm not filming it's about 1 hour depending. Depending on what? The model of course haha! I'm not using a wet palette, I paint directly from the pot, or a dry palette (or bottle cap) when I'm mixing. I generally pick the colours I need before I paint yes, but it's nothing more specific than "I'll need a red probably like this. I'll need a blue maybe like that." I film painting the mini all in one sitting (usually). Sometimes (when I have time or it's a tricky scheme) I'll do a test mini first if it's available. Other times I already have a pretty good idea of what I'll do and just film it on the fly (This also allows you to see when I make mistakes or change my mind haha). I might just do some of the elven terrain. Someone else pointed out there's a unique portcullis that could make for an interesting video!

@@notyourmothershobbies thanks for the comments! Appreciate you. 1 hour when not recording is terrific. I typically can’t focus for more than a couple of color changes before I call it, so my figs usually take a bit longer. I love the process, it’s just not quick, which means my pile of shame is already a lifetime commitment.

Thankyou :) The ogres I'm looking forward to but also dreading. I have an idea in mind for how I'd like to represent them, so we'll see how well I pull it off haha. Will be some great practice for the Ogre Horde Expansion later on!

You know I really want the Ogre - but since you mentioned scenery, the portcullis is a nice, clean example of ironwork and I'd love to see what you do with that.

Good point! I didn't think anyone would be interested in another terrain video for basically the same stuff haha. I can't wait for the Ogres myself. I've got some yellowy skin in mind.

do you know if there is a chart that may give the army painter equivalent colors?

Dana Howl has a great resource on her website that shows all speedpaint and contrast use on skinks. They're organized by colour, and like colours from both companies are positioned next to one another in the order. I hope this helps! howlcorp.com/colors
