Excellent tutorial, I got interested when I saw the price point for this game and that it seems to be a lightweight deck building game that I can introduce to my kids. Playing coop has been a success here (tiny epic defenders, journeys in middle earth, betrayal - scooby doo version). Again, for the Nth time, your video convince me to buy the game!

Thanks, and glad it was helpful. I think either this or Star Realms Frontier are excellent intros for younger players to deckbuilding. Hope you have a great time!

Hero Realms is a great deck building game. I'm really glad they have campaign scenarios for this, adds more depth to the game. I notice I always seem to tip towards green in my plays of this game. Maybe it's a lure to the nature side. Great play through, thanks for the video!

Cool video, thanks for making the setup guide. I tried it tonight solo and yeah the first guy is easy - unfortunately I couldn't beat the second (imp) boss. Awesome game though, love HR!

Thanks for sharing. I like Star Realms a lot and didn't think of getting Hero Realms since they are similar. But, I'm going to revisit Hero Realms. It looks like a lot of fun and it has a campaign!

Thanks for sharing. Great play through. I re-watched the video, because I recently got the game. :-) Question - The master plays their turn, but before they do you draw your hand (but not take your turn). If you have champions in your hand do you put them into play immediately after you draw them or when it is officially your turn? Also, if the Master plays an action that has you discard a champion does that only apply to champions in play? Or, does it also apply to champions in your hand (assuming you haven't put them into play yet). I assume players draw their hand when they do, because of the Discard a Card action they may have to do. Figuring that is the reason a player draws their hand during the Master's turn I only draw the cards, lay them out ,and do nothing with them (I don't play champions then) except for discard a card or some other action I'm forced to do.
@OneStopCoopShop

Masters only attack champions in play, I believe, and you can only play champions when it's your turn, not when you draw them. So it sounds like you are playing correctly, that only a discard effect will actually affect you at that point (though it also means your champions can't prevent damage to you).

The campaign! I love the base game but I hated the Ruins of Thandar. I played it four times and everytime I had the feeling that the game played in autopilot, never having any real option to try different things. I'll pick Aeon's End Legacy or New Age every time over this.
@OneStopCoopShop

Interesting experience! I kind of felt the auto-pilot too, but I also feel that way in regular Hero Realms. It’s a pretty straightforward deckbuilder, so I don’t know how much depth of choice it’ll have in any case :)

Yeah, it looks like it is sold out. But I assume (with an adventure pack just having come out) that they are restocking it as soon as they can.

Thanks for the video. Do you think Mike could slow down his speech rate some. It's a good tutorial, but I have to run it at .75 speed to catch what he is saying.

Funnily enough (and I mention this in my review for it), I prefer Star Realms Frontiers to this one. I think the co-op works better, and you get more bang for your buck.

I am very confused with this expansion. I was expecting a full campaign not 12% of one. I was so excited when I saw 16 chapters. And I was soooooooo disappointed when on my third battle I was allready on chapter 13 fighting a final boss? And we got destroyed. We only got 2 treasure hero cards and one lvl... I don't even want to play this again with the disappointment it left me. Tell me I am missing something. Something that makes me want to put this back to the table... plz.
@OneStopCoopShop

Nope, you got it exactly. I haven't tried the Lost Village yet to see how well it adds stuff, but the campaign is only a good deal, I think, if you already own other Hero Realms stuff and plan to play the game regardless.
@JesusGonzalez-it2sv

@@OneStopCoopShop But, how do you upgrade your heroes further if that's the end of the campaign? Getting lost village?
@OneStopCoopShop
4 жыл бұрын
@@JesusGonzalez-it2sv yup! The idea is they have taken the full campaign, and stretched it out across multiple purchases. Now, this isn't some kind of terrible trick or money-grubbing tactic. The co-op LCGs (arkham, LOTR) do the same, Pathfinder Adventure Card Game used to do it. And I think if you look at just the price of the expansion, $15-20, it's a decent deal for what you get. But if you buy ALL the Hero Realms stuff just to play this campaign, then it becomes a pretty rough deal. I discuss all of this in my review video. Did you have a chance to watch that yet?
@JesusGonzalez-it2sv
4 жыл бұрын
@@OneStopCoopShop no, I subscribed couple of days ago, maybe I'll check it out. And i understand the LCG marketing. But why all those abilities and skills if you cant use them in this expansion? Can you replay this with the same hero and all the upgrades?
@OneStopCoopShop
4 жыл бұрын
@@JesusGonzalez-it2sv Oh, good question! They put all of the possible upgrades in the one box (for some reason), but you can't possibly earn them all until you play the later releases.
