Yeah, sorry, it is super hard to buy 5mm magnetic balls right now and they are pretty expensive. If you check out my more recent video, I convert to more readily available disc magnets: kzitem.info/news/bejne/wGittqGehn6JZKA The reason for the balls is that they rotate so you don't need to keep track of polarity of the magnets. Hi! What a beautiful job here! I have to thank you, because watching your videos is motiving me in making my own HQ board. I have a question: what is the size of the tiles? 5 x 5 cms? And what about playability of a wider board? I mean moving players which are at the other side of the board, put walls during the game, move monsters… Does it work? That’s not too wide? I ask you that because I made some walls but the are too wide, and maybe I need to print the cardboard one more time from tiles 3x3cms size to 4x4 or maybe 5x5cms to fit the walls. Thanks a lot and congratulation for this beautiful job!

There are lots of options but one of the most popular is the Ender 3 v2 for less than $300. But you will have to fiddle with it to optimize printing. If you can afford it, buy the Prusa MK3S for $750 (or the pre-built kit for $900). It is expensive but requires no fiddling. There are a host of others in between these two. Wow, 3,000 ball magnets must have been expensive. Nice build.

Yeah, it cost more than the PLA! But I love magnetizing everything because it makes building so much faster than clips.

@@gaminggeek241 I use the true tiles and the barrel magnet system. It's super easy, prints well, uses less PLA, and the tiles are easy to store. The walls don't separate, but you can build almost any dungeon with the base pack. The clips allow you to put in wall traps, doors, etc. The best part is barrel magnets are $33/thousand. Each tile takes 8 magnets, so you can do 125 tiles.

@@mrfordf3508 sounds great, so true tiles support barrel magnets natively or do you have some other STLs you use with true tiles? Im looking into magnetizing tiles and true tiles look great but im not sure how to magnetize them.
