This is exactly what I am about to attempt, have a Rubi tile cutter and a tile wet saw with a new disc. Getting quite bad chips from the tile wet saw and the Rubi with a 6mm disc sometimes breaks a tile into 4… also, my parter wants the hexagons with the points up (which does look great) but feels a little harder. Any tips for cutting with a wet tile saw?… my tiles are ceramic

Hey, The Rubi wet saw chipping sounds a bit odd on a ceramic tile, The blade could be the wrong way around (so it's bouncing) or it needs a bit of wearing in. Regards Rubi manual cutter, Is it a pull and snap mechanism or a push down mechanism? The push down mechanism is really needed for this kind of cutting. The other thing you can try is just skoring them, and snapping them with your hands.. Normally pretty easy with ceramic tiles. If all else fails, as messy as it is, get an angle Grinder with a red Rubi diamond disc and cut them that way.. Being ceramic they should cut very easy.
