Just subscribed to this channel! Recently I bought the new EVO One and I'm loving it. Your project would really help novice machinist like myself. Good Job! Would it be possible to share your spreadsheet with the community?

Thanks for the shout-out! Teaching Alexa to give speeds and feeds is super cool. Sometimes I want to find some quick info but I don't want to dig for a phone..... Gotta look into that!

@@DIYEngineering Hmm. In addition to the DLL I already provide, I am planning to expose my calculations as a web API. Perhaps you could hook up to it... Once I finish it, that is.

Instead of getting data from a spreadsheet, can you make it by formula, so Alexa could calculate the result for any occasion?

absolutely, i'll add that to the backlog. it may be easier than I think... I just didnt consider than as an initial requirement.

@@DIYEngineering Yeah, why bother filling spreadsheets? Will be glad to test this when ready. Does it support GOOGLE speakers or just ALEXA?

@@DIYEngineering what formula did you wind up implementing to cover all these cases?

Huge thumbs up!! I'd love to be able to ask her for the proper feeds and speeds. Are you planning to go deep enough for something like a Shapeoko Pro/HDZ/220v 2.2kw water cooled spindle?

That sounds like an awesome idea, but personally I'm looking forward to the skill "Alexa, level my bed". 😉
